Right. There's other factors as well. BMWCCA, PenFed, UDE etc. But numbers should be fairly close.

Lol @ everybody moaning about the lease numbers.

Several things to consider:

1. Early adopters will pay to have this car. This happens with any highly anticipated new car. No surprise here.

2. MF is still very low for BMW standards.

3. The lease on this car is now more or less on par with direct competitors (C63, RS5), cars that have now been out for 4-5 years and are now technologically inferior. You guys should look at RC-F and Giulia numbers to see what a real sh!tty lease program is.

4. The days of stackable sky high incentives and high residuals is generally coming to an end across the BMW lineup (some exceptions here) as they continue to update it and yet, their leases are still relatively attractive versus the competition.

Be interested to see these numbers at the end of 2021 after AWD is released, early adopters have taken their hit, and any end-of-year incentives??

I'm thinking winter 2021 might be the time to go in.

My MSRP is $93,995 (fully loaded 6MT with individual Fire Orange as a $5,000 option).

After the loyalty credit, with zero down and the current money factor I am at $1,403 a month.

I built the car sparing no expense, knowing I would be paying out the a** for it, but this is about $150-$200 more a month than I was expecting.

It was the same when the M5 launched, followed with the competition package— too different residuals. Also, big difference in loyalty. With time it will all be one residual number. Just look at the M8/M5/X5M/X6M rates.

Just wait a few months after the G22 has been available and sales tank— then lease support programs will improve to support sales.

It's not. I build it as such. It's cheaper than a 911 and that's my other option for a 6MT lol, this car is a "bargain" for me.

Interesting my ED 2018 F83 also fully loaded with a P1 individual color at $92,000 had a monthly lease payment of $1,112 with zero down (sales tax is a flat $500 paid out of pocket in SC). That was back in 2017 with higher MF interest rates and the ED MF modifier.

Just comparing the M4 convertible as these are always priced higher than the sedan/coupe.

Are you paying full MRSP?

PS congrats on Fire Orange, can't wait to see your finished car on the front page of Bimmerpost.

I think between the LCI updating the front end and AWD these first get g8x values are going to go down the toilet, no one is going to want this old and busted looking thing when compared to the updated g8x.

I know it's cheaper than a 911, but it's also cheaper than a McLaren.

I don't see why it's compared to a 911. They are in a totally different class.

It's not compared to a 911. As a 6MT consumer, those are MY options, either I shell out $93k for a G80 optioned the way u want it or $140k for a 911 optioned the way I want it.

I am giving you my perspective and not making a comparison between the models.

The G80 can easily be specc'd in the mid 70s, am I right?

Completely agree. M3 prices have gotten insane (which is why they depreciate so quickly).

The Sales Manager is a total d*ck and doesnt want me to wait 3 extra months to take delivery..i give myself 2-1 against getting FO approved, unfortunately. I submitted it 6 days ago. Time will tell.

Paying sticker...they had someone else willing to pay $5,000 above and they gave it to me for sticker. I could have gotten a deal on a later allocation. I'm good with sticker.

Ahh ok. Now I understand your view. Just to clarify, I actually was in the same situation and went to a 991.2 hence my 0.02c. Manual was my goal but there is nothing in common with any M car and the 911.

There's a lot of wisdom in getting into a gently loved 911 even if solely for residual value once you're done with it. Or if it has to be brand new, splitting the difference; for 15k more, a GT4 which won't lose nearly as much value in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8+ years as any turbocharged BMW product will. Yes a little more up front, but with how year 1 M-cars drop in value as soon as LCI hits, you save a ton on the back end. YMMV, just my 2c.

Good luck with the FO G8x, I'm sure it will be an animal to drive.

I drive about 18-20,000 miles a year. I would get a used GT3 but I would put so many miles on it I would be totally screwed trying to sell it.

I love the way the G80 looks and I am ok with my potential payment.
