Atlanta area G8X orders?
Anybody in the Atlanta area ordered or considering ordering a G8X?
I'm interested in the AWD model which starts production July 2021 but wondering what should my approach be and when should I order to have a good chance of getting some discount... I'm also waiting to see some colors in person before finalizing my build. AWD pricing has not been announced yet but should be out in the next couple of months. I bought my current F30 from United BMW Roswell but I'm not limiting myself to one dealer. What strategy & timing would you recommend? Who's your preferred dealership?

You can also order from any dealer in the US. If you dont have any luck with dealers near you, might want to consider checking others also
I would say that if you can wait a little for the hype to die down you will save some cash and also hopefully the rates will be better in time like most M launches go. at the beginning its usually pretty rough but as time goes on the hype dies down and the deals are a lot better.

I was able to get about $2k off a launch ordered (not HEA or whatever) 15 M3 from United Roswell back in the day. Unfortunately my contact there no longer sells BMWs.
I would say tho with the polarizing looks I think you should be able to get a deal on a G80 sooner rather than later. |

I ordered mine a few weeks ago (Global Imports). Expect it to be here by launch date in March. My 2018 lease ran off last August and since I did "Owner's Choice" there was no good way to extend the lease (lesson learned on that for future cars). Miss driving the M in the gap period but not really driving much these days anyway.

Can you PM me your contact person and any other details you're comfortable sharing? I don't have a contact at Global but I'd like to start talking with someone there

I'll probably be interested late this year or early next. Warranty is up on my existing ride next year and the new G series are looking mighty good to me. M3 with 6MT most likely. I've visited Global Imports a couple of times (most recently last year to test an M2C) and also helped my folks purchase a CPO 330i from United in Roswell. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Update: I'm on the "list" for an AWD allocation at United BMW Roswell and Global Imports BMW. Both put me on their list without a deposit so I'll talk to them as soon as the M xDrive is officially launched with US order guides etc. to get one of their first allocations.

Sorry for the necropost, but I'm wondering if anyone has recently ordered from any ATL dealers? I'd love to get some contact names if possible. United told me 1.5 year wait just for allocation!!! Global told me 1 year wait total for order. Was thinking about ordering from them, but wanted to get some insight or some contacts if folks have them.

What do you mean that someone backed out of? Like they ordered their car and it came in and they decided against it?

Customer was on the waiting list but when the allocations arrived for 2022 models they didn't move forward with the purchase. Someone I know happened to know about it so I called quickly and put a deposit. I was planning on doing PCD delivery anyway so it didn't matter to me.

I guess it would depend on how the spec'd the car out, but I'm certainly open to that idea. Global told me it would be about a year until delivery, which I can live with. But I'm not sure how on the up and up this guy is being. Hard to trust dealers at all.

I got an allocation from United that they already had on order at the end of April…chose all options and picked it up the first part of July. Guess I got lucky
