This doesn’t actually look bad.

I’d be worried about non oem fitment.

To each their own, I really like the look and feel of the OEM shifter without tacked on covers.

Surely this will just feel like plastic in the hand (like the crap OEM “carbon” paddle shifters).

The product blurb is pretty funny though, so OTT.

Yeah, I think that's what it is. for some reason, I was thinking it was a full replacement. I think its just a cover. The people that buy the carbon stick on covers for the drivers side vent, will get one.

I actually emailed BMW parts online to see if BMW was making a carbon fiber replacement like these and they told me not yet. I’ll
Hold off until a better solution comes out.

That would definitely be a much better solution. Some people will like this, but, not someone that's really picky about carbon. All of my carbon, is OEM, except the project gamma grill, and that's flawless.

I have an OEM Carbon tank cap cover which is just taped on. Others buy Goldenwrench stuff to stick on. So I would not devaluate this obviously cost saving way of modding too much.

I have both, as well. The fuel cap cover, is OEM, so, that makes a difference. OEM fitment has always been perfect for me. I also have the Goldenwrench caps, and I felt the same way about them, "well, they cost a lot of money for just cap covers."

However, its smart on Goldenwrenches part to only make them in cap covers. I believe it reduces the liability of them making a replacement cap, that could possibly fail.

I do have to say I was more than impressed with how well the Goldenwrench caps fit.
