Hey all. Just pulled my '23 M4 Comp out of storage finally from last season. I don't quite remember this noise from the limited time I got last season with the car. Stock motor with Eventuri intakes. Idle seems normal in the car and out the exhaust. Just fed her some gas and drove around for a bit. Same sound both at cold start and fully warmed up.

Any thoughts?

What specifically in that video are you talking about? If you’re talking about the diesely sound, that’s normal for DI engines.

If it's the valves you're talking about then it's completely normal.

It's the direct injection and location of HPFP. I believe you're right. Just forgot how loud it can be. Thanks for responding.

Yeah, if it’s the loud ticking you were worried about, that’s what it is. Totally normal.
