Any regrets?

Hey BMW FAM, I don't know if a thread like this has ever been created but I want to know if anyone who has a G80/G82 - DOES NOT LIKE THIER CAR FOR SOME REASON? I know you cannot test drive them - curious to know if you are not enjoying your car or it isnt living up to your expections? And if you are enjoying your car - tell me that too. I personally love mine and It would be also nice to hear from the F82/83 owners who now have a G8X. Cheers

Went from a G22 M440 xdrive to a G82 M4 comp xdrive.

As a daily driver, I should have just kept the M440.

As a weekend twisties fun shits and giggles car club meetups etc car, the M4 keeps the grin alive.

If you're not tracking it or taking it on more spirited drives regularly...stick with the M440 / M340. Maybe even M550 if that's your thing.

But the M3/M4 are special for sure.

Totally enjoying it. It's more livable than my F80 was and more raucous than my M240i xdrive. I had a couple Audi's inbetween but they are too buttoned up for me (RS3 and a S4).

Very much love this car. I've been a bit of a grandpa with it, since I haven't had a chance to track it yet, but I just passed the break-in period, so that is coming, along with more spirited driving. It will only get better.

Just finished a 300-mile road trip and the gas mileage was shockingly good. I got around 28 miles to the gallon while cruising between 75-85mph mostly.

It's more car than I need and I would have gotten the 340 if it was available with MT and the buckets (wife needs shell shape for her back). Only regret is not getting full leather

I agree with this. I would've been satisfied with a manual-transmission M340i with full leather. The 473 hp is overkill for me.

In response to the OP's question, no regrets.

I enjoy it as my daily driver. I like the tech it has. It is softer to drive (lighter throttle and steering) than my Macan Turbo, but it is quicker. Much quicker. I got it because the ZF would make it a smooth in-town car, and it ticks that box. Can I pass any other car on the road when I need to? Yes, and I like that, too.
No regrets.
