I called from east TN up into VA and as far south as northern FL and all of AL, GA, SC, and NC. All either spoken for (most of what I encountered) or wanting ADM above 10k. I did indeed hear 20k and 30k several times. I gave them a good chuckle and hopefully instilled some guilt upon them. The Devil usually knows no such things lol...

All were at 111 meaning they can't be changed on these special models. Had one dealer go so far as to contract his factory rep and they told him no. He showed me the email.

Have fun and GL everyone!
Thanks for sharing the result of your effort. Based on my experience this is not common in some other forums

My gut, any $10k or less ADM is a good deal and people should jump at it. If the same DNA from the M2 CS, M5 CS and M4 CSL went into this car, its worth it and you won't be disappointed paying $10k over so its your car from new.

According to my sales guy, he talked to M GmbH recently, they are not doing the colors in batches. The paint shop in Munich is so modern that it is capable of doing all paints, incl. special colors, in a random order. This system can basically do every single special color one after another.

So I guess this is just a co-incidence.

My car is BS and is planned for manufacturing in November.
I know of a couple of BS, SG, FW and BG M3 CS which have been already manufactured this month.

No 50 years badge. The M3 CS is MY 2024.

Correct. The Munich plant paint shop was upgraded 5 years ago to fully automate the paint process with robots - it’s called, IPP (integrated paint process). You can see in this video during the paint shop process; that individual G81 is robotically painted in between regular color cars.

I agree completely. Over 10k depends on the buyer and their wants, but for 10k and under, its a special car at a great value IMO.

Pretty sure that's a CCB car with the red calipers, at least according the ordering guide. Black was the only color calipers with the M Compound, and CCB had red and gold options. Could be wrong though.

Red is the standard color for compound brakes and black is an option

Thanks! Figured I was reading it wrong. Based on that, I think my BG CS is coming with the red brakes. Nothing shows on the build sheet indicating they picked anything else.

Does anyone know If it will be codeable to set yellow lights on CS to permanently on.

E.g on the DRL’s without headlights.

It is doable (not sure if it is programmable but there are already control modules out there which can be exchanged) but I don't know about the UK but over here in Germany, it would be illegal, meaning that the insurance is voided. Not sure I would want to risk it.

So how many people would take frozen white over black?

Just been offered opportunity to change my allocation to another from black to frozen white.

I would go frozen white. I agree with others that it will be the “halo color” long term. I would have gone that route and initially wanted to but with 2 very young kids, I am nervous one of them would drop a toy or tip their bike onto the paint and I would be in big trouble with frozen. I’m still second guessing my BG choice.. but it seemed the most livable in my situation. Just wish it was Nardo not a BG but oh well! Black is also so classic. Tough decision indeed

So is frozen pretty much unmatchable ?

Even from an approved BMW body shop?

Halo color sure (albeit one's opinion), but based on what I have seen thus far, its the more common color too. My calls to dealers found a lot of folks with frozen white. Plus, a search in DARs turned up something like 40-50ish in BG, 70ish in Black, and the other 200+ that had been ordered by dealers were in the special Green and White (harder to break down). Matter of fact, there was a BMW BLOG video that covered what dealers had ordered too. So then it becomes popular vs rarity.

My local dealer (mind you I live in Bavaria, the home of BMW), one of the biggest here, told me that with a frozen color (my Z4 M40i is in Frozen Grey II), I'd have to wait weeks(!) if I have an accident or whatever to get it repaired and matching is very very difficult.

For anyone who is PPF’ing the car - be sure to ask your dealer about the PPF that has a pre ceramic coating built into the PPF.

My Detailer was nice enough to tell me I don’t need a ceramic coating due to the new film he’s using by Suntek. He said don’t waste your money, this stuff is just as good and it’s built into the PPF.
