So I guess this is just a co-incidence. My car is BS and is planned for manufacturing in November. I know of a couple of BS, SG, FW and BG M3 CS which have been already manufactured this month. |

I agree completely. Over 10k depends on the buyer and their wants, but for 10k and under, its a special car at a great value IMO.

In case you're curious what it would look like, someone just took delivery of the 1st CS in Europe in this spec https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=274

Pretty sure that's a CCB car with the red calipers, at least according the ordering guide. Black was the only color calipers with the M Compound, and CCB had red and gold options. Could be wrong though.

It is doable (not sure if it is programmable but there are already control modules out there which can be exchanged) but I don't know about the UK but over here in Germany, it would be illegal, meaning that the insurance is voided. Not sure I would want to risk it.

I would go frozen white. I agree with others that it will be the “halo color” long term. I would have gone that route and initially wanted to but with 2 very young kids, I am nervous one of them would drop a toy or tip their bike onto the paint and I would be in big trouble with frozen. I’m still second guessing my BG choice.. but it seemed the most livable in my situation. Just wish it was Nardo not a BG but oh well! Black is also so classic. Tough decision indeed

My local dealer (mind you I live in Bavaria, the home of BMW), one of the biggest here, told me that with a frozen color (my Z4 M40i is in Frozen Grey II), I'd have to wait weeks(!) if I have an accident or whatever to get it repaired and matching is very very difficult.

For anyone who is PPF’ing the car - be sure to ask your dealer about the PPF that has a pre ceramic coating built into the PPF.
My Detailer was nice enough to tell me I don’t need a ceramic coating due to the new film he’s using by Suntek. He said don’t waste your money, this stuff is just as good and it’s built into the PPF. |
