Carplay and Android Auto were never removed from G8x platforms in the past. It only affected 3 and 4 series.

Isnt 6P1 Enhanced option which connects the second phone.

I was under the impression that M vehicles received the basic AndroidAuto and CarPlay.

No, that was 6NS/6NW

The 6p1 - temporary removal of wifi effected pretty much most of the range (inc 5 series, x3, x5 etc )

Anybody with 6P1 on their build spec will have a lack of:

1. Ability to pair 2 smartphones
2. Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
3. Remote Software Updates
4. WiFi Hotspot

Don't quote me but I think this only applies to the European market, not US.

And in the recall tool, it'll show the following:
