So much brake dust! Any pads available yet?
There is so much I love about the new M3 Comp but the brake dust is unlike anything I have ever seen. Had a ceramic coating put on the wheels, which makes them much easier to clean, but they are still coated with brake dust at the end of the day. I contacted Akebono and they do not have any pads that fit the new M3 or M4. Does anyone know of a good, low dust pad(s) with solid performance that are currently available? (I will not be tracking this car, this is my daily driver).

It's the worst brake dust scenario I've ever seen on any car. If I drive 10 miles, the wheels are completely brown in the front.

Yeah the dust is pretty bad. And with a lot of black on the wheels whether it be bi-colors or whatever we choose to pick from means a lot of time trying to keep these clean. And by the way the design of the wheels they are a pain to clean!

Someone will have pads out soon. My F82 is my 3rd one and pads are always on my list early on. They always say dustless which they are not, but are 1000 times better than factory shit

This has been a problem for me and my BMW’s for 30 years now. I always thought this is normal until I got this Mustang GT as a lease. I do not know what they did, but those breaks generate no dust at all. Wheels are also bright like brand new and have within 3 years never been hand washed. This is what I want on my M4 to come.

If youve owned other cars with Brembos, you know that this happens to every single one of them. I had the same issue on my C7. I can drive to the corner store, and have a layer of brake dust, already on my wheels. And thats after I removed them, cleaned them, and reinstalled them back on the car. Its never ending. I replaced the factory pads with Carbotech pads, which came highly recommended. All that really did, was change the brake dust from brown to white/silver. For my OCD, I may just spec the CCBs, solely for this reason.

The moment a nice five star, simple azz design is ready for these cars I'm making the switch. Never in my life would I ever have wheels as busy as the ones they put on these cars, so of course the brake dust is biblical.
Five star, ceramic coat 'em, spray that dust right off. |

I also responded to you in another thread. Very happy with my decision with these brakes. DFC 3000 ceramic for front Centric Ceramic pads for rear I've had these on my car sense December and no brake squeal and the stopping power is more than adequate. I don't track my car and don't drive like a hooligan in traffic.

Read it again, its really stating if you have carbon ceramic brake pads it won't work. O have them on my car now, the DFC 3000. I changed mine the day I got my car so I didn't change mine. How many miles on your car?

his would be great but I must be missing something. This is a copy and paste from their website: Fits the following Vehicle Configurations: Notes: Carbon Ceramic Brake Rotors Yeah I know, I don't have a explanation for it, I just know they work perfectly and a BMW tech installed them with no issues.
