Brooklyn Grey Washed Out?

Trying to decide on color.

Every time I see Brooklyn grey in pics online it looks so washed out and a very light baby blue. Especially in the sun.

Are these pics pretty accurate or is it a color only appreciated in person? Thanks for the help !

It does have a blue hue to it, especially under direct sunlight.

On cloudy days it looks more like nardo gray.

I have it and i never saw the actual color in person before choosing. Just from what i saw on the computer. Once i placed my order i was committed. THEN i saw a brooklyn M4 in person, on a bright sunny day and i fell in love. I knew i made the right choice.

Yes it's a a baby blue light blue jeans look on a gloomy day, in bright sun it's chalky, and at night it's closest to its original bg color

I like to think we're deep enough into the production of the G8X that we can find an owner with a standard/normal paint near us.

If not, paint is such an important choice that it's worth spending a day to travel out to see it in person if need be.

I loved it so much I got it again for my 22. I went to dealerships to look at other colors. If there was a light blue offering that wasn't ind, id gotten that...

Are you trying to stay on the cheap side, and just pick a color that doesn't cost anything? Or just the $500 colors, or are you not worried about the cost, and are willing to go with an individual color, because there are literally dozens of colors you can go with.

I had is on my 21 RWD M3C and liked it so much I got it again on my 22 M3CX and on my 22 X3 M40i.

It's a pretty neat color but I like more exciting and wild colors. I do not think it's washed out looking though.. Here are a few in various lighting conditions.

Exactly why I'm going with Skyscraper Grey. Brooklyn Grey is too light for me....

Agree with the blue hues. I would not have picked it if I had not seen it in person. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Its a great option from the standard pallet and you will appreciate it in person.

It has a tint of blue in sunlight and offers grey shade in the darkness. I picked it for my build as it highlights the black accents better than IOMG which was my second option if i didnt take the individual route.

thanks! I like the color, my only concern was the body lines being "Washed out" and the car just falling flat.

This is why I switched to a different color, the blue hue under sunlight didn't look grey to me anymore.

I didn't love the color till i saw it in person, but then i went for it. It's a lot more dynamic with the lights/darks than you would think. Pic below:

It reminds me of a little less metallic Silverstone from about 10 years ago. That also had a blue sheen to it.
