G82 - PSI Midpipe OEM Gaskets

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I recently purchased a used PSI midpipe.I have the midpipe and all the clamps but unfortunately, it didn't come w/ the OEM gaskets.

Can the existing OEM gaskets from the factory be reused when installing the PSI midpipe or will it leak without fresh ones?

The car only has 3k miles on it.

You can buy new oem gaskets from FCP
You can try to reuse them but you’d have to do the work twice if they leak excessively. Since the gasket is post cat, it won’t mess with emissions

You might end up with some back pressure loss or rattling but I don’t think it’s anything major. Cheap peace of mind to just replace imho

Thank you so much for the details and quick reply, i appreciate it

My appt. to install the midpipe is on Monday and its unlikely I will be able to get new one's prior was the reason for not just getting them.

The material is like crushed up aluminum foil flakes. It’s meant to compress and take the void and shape of the mating part. It’s not super critical and most shops may not even swap out. You’ve only got 3K miles so still fairly new but if there’s a large mismatch in mating angles and draft, it could leak.

The part number is 18308053348 x2
Call your dealership today and see if they have any in stock.

FCP does not have them listed on their site btw

Thanks I did call BMW earlier today but no dice, they could order them but wouldn't make it by my appt time, so im going to have to hope for the best. Fingers Crossed.

Yes thats the part # they gave me so that lined up.
18308053348
Diameter 70 millimeters

The shop said they should be able to use the existing gaskets given that the car was like new and that PSI midpipe uses the OEM gaskets.

Thanks again!
