I have had no experience with H&R on the G8X but there are some guys using G20 springs to the get proper height. But this doesnt mean they are getting a proper ride.

H&R, for me, with BMW M has always been one bounce too much; the compression just never mated up well with the dampers. Now I have used H&R on my R8 and prior Porsches with no issues.

Adding Ben who just did an H&R specific spring drop on the G80... I know he said the car did not drop in the rear much at all but maybe he did drive it and can compare to MSS (excellent ride quality)

I've had bad experience in the past with H&R springs and bouncy ride quality so for me, it's a hard pass. But if people enjoy these, that's great.

Will put on MSS on project car today.
So, I will drive it in the next few days on my daily route and report back.

My prediction:

H&R while being cheaper has a 2 stage spring which will not mate up as well with the EDC as the MSS progressive springs front coupled with the helper spring in the rear.

This will lead to a more pronounced bounce and rebound with the H&R in all EDC suspension settings.

Ill call it the "one extra bounce"

I had the H&R VTF Has Kit on my F80 that was perfect….I want H&R to make the same kit for the G80.

I heard that as well… same term used… "bouncy"… hence why I passed as well

With the x-drives coming out I'm wondering if the various mfg. springs for the standard non-xdrives will fit the x-drives? Would weight of the vehicles be the only difference in the two models? Just wondering?

Nice find.

Those must be able to be had for cheaper. The list price they show for the springs are $549 and you can get them almost $200 off that.

I wonder who will be the first to test! It would be an awesome alternative to MSS as long as its not bouncy and the front can be adjusted lower than MSS.

Yeap, got notified about it.
I didn't order any, because I don't think it will ride better than MSS or KW HAS.

I used to sell H&R VTF on F85/F86 X5M/X6M, it is hit and miss.
Most saying that it is bouncy.

And I recently installed it on my 991.2 Carrera T, and it is bouncy.
It gives me the drop that I wanted, just not the ride quality.
Currently waiting on MSS to create me one.

Has anyone put the H&R Springs on and have any feedback? I keep seeing that on other cars they're bouncy and harsh and I'm curious if that's the case here too.

That's why it only lasted for a week on the car.

Also, it changes the rake where now is front biased.

Took it to the Canyon before I took it off.
Car is more twitchy and slight oversteer.
Also braking is not balanced since more weight transfered to the front during braking.

I was just about to ask many of you guys. I heard there is a bit of bouncing with these springs. Might consider something else.

Mine have arrived, and they ride good. Not bouncy. Need to settle a little but I'm happy with the drop.
