I had to delete the secondary cats since the exhaust was too quiet from inside the car. Outside it sounds great, but inside it was meh.

In terms of sound, it's more of personal taste so I completely understand you removing secondary cats.

What brand/part did you use to remove secondary cats? Did the tone remain the same after install? Any sound clips? Thanks in advance

Check my post, I did a complete review. The videos are there.

My exhaust shop used the stock cats and convetered them into straight pipes. They kept the flanges and welded new pipes to it.

I'm a bit confused does the cat back race system bolt to the down pipes or do you have to cut from the secondary's?

Keeps the secondary and bolts to it. For Europe they Remus has piping from the downpipe back. US folks unfortunately don't get that

I think the secondary cat delete pipes should be exactly the same size as the oem midpipe and made of quality material. Then you can clamp quite easily. If I were to put my money on any install problems with the remus, I would think incompatibility between the remus and delete pipes would be the cause. The flared end of the Remus should just about fit over the other pipe so that it doesn't kink or constrict when the clamps are tightened. I installed the remus axleback a couple of times with vt midpipe. The connection was so strong that it would have taken some dynamite to disrupt the bond. Not sure if i am making sense.

Another thing go consider is that remus has a two year warranty. I am not sure what would happen to that once you weld the parts. I would just install normally with clamps and if any issues arise, claim warranty.

Remus's warranty is a joke. I had exhaust leak similar to iviegatron and I was told they would not do anything since I was using different pipes. One of the leaks was between THEIR OWN pipes. Last time I would buy any product from Remus. To be honest, I'm not too thrilled with their exhaust. There are better sounding exhausts than this.

Only put about 35 miles on it on the way home but was all in Sport+ and the valves fully open. It's louder than I expected it to be but I absolutely love it. Has a deep growl to it with lots of burbles when letting off the gas.

The wife and kids will likely hate it in anything more than comfort…but oh well.

Exactly!

Surprisingly enough, my oldest told me she really liked the sound of the car this morning. She said it sounds really good!
