Finally Picked Up My G80 M3!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com First Impressions: The grille- It was never a problem for me, I loved it from the moment the spy shots came out. I would remember reading the forums and guys would say BMW needs to do something different...I felt the same way so I was 100% on board when they did. In person it looks completely different in my opinion pictures seem to focus on the grille, in person it looks like it just flows with the rest of the car. I walked out of my parking garage early yesterday and there was a guy standing behind my car and he said "I don't know why people are making such a big deal about the grille, this thing looks aggressive...I love it" it was 7:30am lol he scared me a lil cause he popped out of nowhere. Anyway the grille is fine. Driving- Because of the 1200 break in period I haven't really drove it hard but from just the little pulls and popping it into "M1 and M2" mode...whew this thing is fast. Steering is really direct and the car feels planted. The ZF transmission actually to me feels way better than the DCT, a lot smoother...I can see where that can be a problem though if you've owned an F80, may think it's lost a little rawness. I have driven the F80 before as I work at a Bentley dealership and we've had a couple that I was able to take home and get a feel for it. Not a long time but still got a decent comparison. There is a slight lag in comfort but that's to be expected, in any other mode no real noticeable lag. I'll edit this more as I get more seat time. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. |

Congratulations! The car is simply amazing to look at and more importantly to drive. I got lucky and got my G80-6MT locally here in South Florida. I still love my E93 for its raw NA V8, but the G80 is absolutely stellar and almost perfect, needs a tune(someday), mid pipe, spacers and lowering kit and perfection. Break in is tough, the car begs to be revved. I highly recommend ceramic coat or better PPF ASAP.

-Exec package
-Carbon fiber trim -Parking Assistance Package -Silverstone Interior I toyed with the idea of the carbon exterior pack but I'm actually glad I didn't spend the extra money. |

Waiting for options on spacers and springs to drop 25mm. It sits way to high stock and the spacers are a must to complete the stance. Considering a mid pipe as I like a lot more sound especially as an S65/E93 owner...ECU tuning might be a ways away it seems. |
