The 992 would probably end up costing me around £96k whereas the M3 would probably cost me around £76k with a hefty discount that I am able to receive through the national healthcare employee scheme. Unfortunately no discount on the Porsche 😩

I will just chime in that you should not buy a 992 Porsche for your situation.

I am in a similar boat: I am a desi like you (I see your name!) and have a 10 and 12 year old. Yes, they are older than your kids but those rears seats SUCK for anyone, even kids. The Indian community will be all like "what is this guy doing?"

Luckily I have an M340i as my DD that I can lug the kids around with far more comfortably, and I use my 992 as my fun car.

But if you plan to daily and lug around kids, get the G80!

I agree - by the time supply/demand meet a more equilibrium state we will be so close to the massive electrification and hybridization of cars that it's almost moot to talk about current cars.
If you want one and don't mind the prices knowing there might be a 10-20% jump in MSRP (same spot anyway) then I'd get it. Chances are with some of these 'last of' cars you'll be in a favorable spot anyway.

I guess a 992 just isn’t going to work with two kids in the back, it’s a shame as I really love the shape and it really is so much more beautiful that the G80 with that nose. Im considering waiting to see what the G80 M3 CS looks like in the flesh once it is released and then decide from there as to where I will go. May even have to consider the up coming C63 four pot if the G80 design doesn’t grow on me 😩😬

I miss the 991.2 GTS and will trade in my 718 GT4 for the M3C. Got on the list for both 992 GTS and M3CS. Definitely not going to pay 10-20% over so I'll wait and see. If I really like the M3C I may just get the CS rather than the long awaited 992 GTS.

Hopefully having the M3C will keep me grounded in my decision-making.

I would still rather have the GT3, but the GTS is an awesome automobile. Its just the pricing of Porsche is just insane now.

sir I love women but I bent over nicely for this car ... got fucked good especially for me LOL but I did some deep dive research via PCNA and there are no more allocations for this year and builds take forever these days.

I got luck this car was already built and at the port and my buddy for 14 years at a larger P car store (he was also Pat Benatar's drummer) said he had a hidden car aka bonus allocation and would hook me up. Lets say I didnt pay the 30k over but I did pay a small 5 figure bump.

Yes Tesla could have done better but my personal experience is to first understand the car and its power along with PHYSICS- the way the car gets to speed and the weight really change the game. I personally have had no issues with the brakes because I know my limits but further I learned the car's limits.

If I put these on my M3, life is grand but of course to our points, weight plus inertia (there is alot more of it in a Plaid) equal stupid when a driver has no clue ...

If you look at the 1/4 mile times for the GTS, it ran 10.9@128 mph. That is faster than an M5 Comp, M8 Comp so it's no suprise it would get to 200 kph first. The GTS is seriously close to the GT3 in many aspects.

Yes I saw the C&D article--- fast car for its "underrated" power.

For a small penny I can get the OBDII M Engineering Tune too and make just a bit faster. On the C2S at 91 octane, the tune gained around 120 wheel hp peak with the 992. And I since I tune all my cars, why not!!! It wont be as much as the C2S because of the starting point with the same engine and turbos but it will be ample.
