Recommendations for PPF vs Ceramic Coat?
Also any recommendations for SF Bay Area shops preferably in the Peninsula?
I would like to keep my Cinnabar Red M50 Jahre looking awesome, for at least another 10 Jahres. Bay Area roads are a disgrace, liberally potholed and strewn with pebbles. I am new to this community so if there is a sub-forum where this has been discussed already please let me know. |

I have frozen paint, so I did a full PPF on my car. Precision Paint Protection in Santa Clara. Look at their IG!
BTW ceramic coating offers zero protection. Its mainly for easier cleaning and hydrophobic qualities. Good PPF film nowadays have built in hydrophobic coating as well. Last edited by skyline408; 03-04-2023 at 07:28 PM.. |

As mentioned, PPF and ceramic coating are solutions to different problems. The question you have to ask is: "What am I trying to achieve?"
If you want your car to be temporarily shiny and easier to clean, that's what ceramic is for. But that's all it does. If you want to protect your car from rock chips and scratches AND you want the car to be easier to clean, you PPF. It's that simple. |
