I may be wasting everyone’s time. But the board needs to be transparent. All sides need to be heard.

0-60 is not driving experience

Over 100K for a tuned M3 that has zero feedback is a ripoff. Feel bad for all the “new” guys who “like” the “new” versions. Hope you have deep pockets and money to burn. Still won’t crack a smile while driving one of these. Promise

Sounds extreme. What’s the last BMW with its “DNA” then?

Curious if the F80CS had ZERO feedback. Haven’t driven one personally

I like it. Gonna make it easier to get an allocation for an M3CX. Woot!

you just need to get it in your head bmw is a different car company now than their heyday in the e46/e92 era. the days of using an f1 derived motor revving to 8500 pair with a manual trans are over.

You mean emissions/global warming cut the use of naturally aspirated engines.

E46 was the last true BMW M3. Not saying there weren’t things to like about the E9x. The M2CS was all luck I think, great car though. Other than that you won’t feel the wheel, the road, the seat, the torque, the transmission, the leather, the turn in, or the crisp brakes again, in any model.

Name one manufacturer that still makes a car that feels the same as the ones they did 20 years ago.

I'm fairly certain I can feel the leather in both of my M cars. And please educate me all about how much more "crisp" the brakes were in the e46 compared to the g80?

The E46 was a junk box,

Bmws might not be "raw" anymore but still one of the best,

The m4 gts actually felt extremely raw and light, I loved that car, probabaly one of the best things they've done in a long time,

Dont forget these are everyday cars, my new G80 does the everyday job perfectly, it handles insanely well and is extremely quick,

In fact its the first one I felt doesnt really even need that many mods outside of appearances.

If you want raw, buy an E30 M3 or a gt3

You cant build a car like the e46 today.

That's why your opinion doesn't matter. BMW has moved on from your tastes and you're the one fighting it.

Exactly.

I would like a car that feels exactly like my Z32 300ZX. But sadly they don't make those any more either.

None. But cars that stuck to their roots and still offer the feel people want. Some examples. BMW could have done this too. They sold out IMO

Porsche
Cadillac
MB AMG
Golf VR6
Civic Type R
Audi RS3
Mustang Shelby 350/500
Toyota GR86
And currently the Giulia Quadrifoglio is phenomenal

To this gentleman here, your point is made and there are ways to pep things up just open your wallet
1 kw v4 or something similar
2 replace all bushings with monoball
3 race toe arms and tension arms
4 strut brace and stronger anti-sway bars
5 bigger wheel lower series side wall tires
6 piggy tune etc

I have done 2 of these suggestions and it more RAW

I’m glad we agree fine sir. Only way to make one of these decent is throw more money at the already inflated sticker and fix their mistakes as they try and satisfy the masses on an M car!! Ludacris

In fact I do. I am considering the CS in addition to my manual G80 and the GT3 I have incoming. It is a sufficiently attractive option than actually lighting money on fire.

You telling me that I won't smile while driving it is the silliest thing I've read on these forums since the large grille debacle of 2018.
