Saw both iomg and bg in real life.. Had to choose BG as this color is better as a daily 100%. Got to order mine with the demand slowing down for 2021. In production so I'm guessing 2 months to go.. Ordered with yas interior.. 😂😂

I am curious, would Xpel Stealth wrap would work well with BG or even DG to make it matte and added protection? Rather getting, say Frozen X Gray? Any one has done that?

I've been very curious to see either BG or DG wrapped in xpel stealth as well. I think the DG would probably work better as a matte color, but I could be wrong

I would imagine BG stealth would be similar to frozen white although of course light gray. I would think with DG you would lose some of the great gold flake which to me is a big feature of that color.

I'm having a hard time choosing a color. Does the BG look closer to this normally or is it lighter and blueish? I really dislike the pictures and videos when it comes through as a very light baby blue.

Its grey with blue metallic, it depends on the light in sunlight it is closer to hockenheim silver, in low light it is more of a metallic nardo

Is there an issue with Fiona Red availability? I could have sworn I saw it on the online configurator a few days ago but now it is not coming up as an option.

In any event, I got lucky and managed to snatch up an inbound Brooklyn Grey/Fiona Red base model M3 that's expected to arrive at the port in a few days. There are, like, no base manual M3s out there at all compared to Competition models. Gonna have to fly out to the dealer and make a 12-hour drive back home, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

So do any of the BG owners feel a bit slighted that this color will now be offered on the regular 4 series?

Not that it should really matter but I would be slightly annoyed if I thought I was initially getting an M specific color only to then have them turn around and offered it on the standard models too.

Still an awesome color either way!

Personally, I don't care. I love BG and am perfectly happy to know that others will enjoy it as well.

Truly no offense to anyone, but if something of this nature bothers you have some ego/insecurity issues. I get it and it’s a shitty thing BMW chooses to do, but ultimately it doesn’t matter. If you care what others care about your paint or brake calipers then you’re not buying the car for yourself.

Having said that I hope to get into a BG car when LCI rolls around

I agree that one shouldn't pick a color based on what others think or what you hope they will think.

I think it's fair to say that some may feel a bit annoyed that once was initially thought to be an M exclusive color will now instead be offered on a much wider range of vehicles and not be as "special". I'd feel a bit slighted at first but not something that would cause me to not like the car as much.
