2022 M3 Comp RWD, Skyscraper Grey / Fiona Red

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 95,000.00

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
I just took Performance Center Delivery on Wednesday May 18. It was a great experience and I would surely recommend going if you have the opportunity to do so.

I am looking to part with the car unfortunately. The process began back in October 2021 and with the way things are in our current economic climate it doesn't make much sense for me to have this great car. I had to move forward with the transaction as I provided a non-refundable deposit and figured I shouldn't have much difficultly moving the car after I take delivery of it.

I ordered the car with the following:

Skyscrapper Grey Metallic
Fiona Red Interior
Drivers Assistance Pro Package
Parking Assistance Package
Executive Package
826M bi color wheels
M Shadowline Lights
M Compound Brakes w/ Red Calipers
Carbon Fiber Interior Trim
Front Ventilated Seats
Icon Adaptive LED w/ Laserlights

The car has an amazingly low 145 miles on it and it is scheduled for ceramic window tint on the sides and rear window this Tuesday May 24. There is nothing wrong with the car and would love to keep it after being able to see what they are capable of doing on the track at the performance center, it truly is spectacular. The car is garaged in northwest Arizona approximately 1.5 hours south of Las Vegas Nevada. I am asking $95,000.00 or best offer. the car is currently financed through BMW Financial.

Sounds like you need to get out of the car due to financial reasons, I'll be what to give you whatever your OTD price was.

To say you need to sell sue to financial and then sap a 14k adm on it, smh.

Here is a break down of the total cost associated with my car as I'm not looking to make a huge profit on the sale;

$81,245.00 MSRP
$6,863.33 sales tax
$2,061.78 dealer fees

$90,170.11 just for the car
$1,789.63 transportation of vehicle to Arizona from South Carolina
$91,959.74 at this time total for the car to get to my garage.
$600.00 for window tint
$92,559.74 would be the total of all that I put into it.

I'm asking $95,000 or best offer which is less then $2,500.00 over what I'll have invested in it. I feel this is reasonable with the amount of time I will have to deal with the sale of the car or possibly list it on other sites.

I'm convinced there are people who have never purchased a car who comment on these threads. Don't understand why people think anything above MSRP = "asking over sticker" or "profit sharking". Never heard of sales tax? Dealer Fees?

OP - great car, great spec and fair price given what you have in it. Good luck with sale.

You forgot to mention insurance costs, gas, car washes, parking costs, and costs to air up your tires.

Right?

It's unfortunate that you had to pay sales tax, but welcome to reality. Good luck recovering it.

$95K is unreasonable if you really are trying to lighten your financial load. You need to be asking around MSRP and writing off the rest of the costs as lessons learned. Or keep the car.

How do you solve the issue of sales tax? Register it in Delaware?

Since you're required to register your car where it spends most of its time, sales tax is a fact of life unless you do some dodgy stuff. For example, you can create an LLC in Montana and then register the car to that LLC in order to avoid sales tax, but police in some areas are wise to this trick and will fine you or charge you for tax avoidance.

Thank you for your opinions, not looking for any confrontations since I get enough at work. Coming from So. California and purchasing 7 out of my 8 BMWs from Cali I don't believe I was unreasonable. When in the market for an M3 I went to all the dealers I previously purchased a car from and some others I didn't. All wanted a mark up from 5-15k+. The ADM and some sales tax rates of nearly 10% is craziness and to know surprise there are plenty of people willing and in line to pay there price.

I am however selling a car or two and have done extremely well in the market over the past couple months. This is a dream car of mine (as well as a GT4) and recently came to realize life is short and things can change in the blink of an eye. I plan to keep the car at this time unless an opportunity presents itself other wise. Glad I got it before the 2023 price increase.
