The long wait is finally over, my G80 has touched down, didn’t win the tire lottery but Pirelli’s are not that bad.

I was stuck in QC for 25 days so my car is on the Apollon Highway that just docked at sparrows point Maryland today. Also Dravit and hoping for Michelin but I was probably built the same week as you, so I’m probably going to get Perelli’s as well.

Finally picked up mine and took a quick picture when I got home. It was a great drive home. It's very powerful but it's a much different feeling than the M550i I traded in.

So happy for you all that have taken delivery, and for those of you who haven’t yet, hang in there!
I’ve been so busy with work and personal travel that I forgot to update my friends in this thread. Arrived at my dealer outside of Baltimore on Thursday 1/25 and my SA sent me these pics. Turning my lease in to my dealer in Richmond (and collecting a respectable equity offer) tomorrow evening before I use a free rental car day on a one way car to go up to Baltimore Saturday morning. My plan is to heed my detailer’s advice and just layer up with painters tape on the high impact areas before driving back to get full body PPF, ceramic and tint. Can’t wait to finally get all this wrapped up and start enjoying the car! The next goal will be getting through break-in… edit: also lost the tire lottery, but interesting that everyone else in here also did. To be fair, from reviews it looks like they aren't too far off from the PS4s. my hope is that they can continue to serve as an all-season basically with Richmond weather being relatively warm like my PS4s on my M340i did. Those were great for me here in all weather conditions over the last 3 years, though I do understand that with the power this car has, more caution needs to be taken.

I'm on the Donington. She's expected to arrive in BALPOA 24Feb24 0300 or 0400 depending on which site I've been tracking.
I'm in between cars and been driving rental cars since December. I'm thinking my car will be at the dealership at worse next Thursday. |

Just eyeballing the ship's position vs average speed she'll probably get into port tomorrow morning around noon, maybe a little before. I think you're probably right about end of next week. |

https://www.google.com/maps/place/BM...pp5h?entry=ttu I'm thinking the cars should be off the boat by the end of the day. Here's hoping we're on the same car carrier tonight, tomorrow, or first thing Monday! Last edited by Nighthawks; 02-24-2024 at 01:52 PM.. Reason: forgot to add something |
