I do see a 316 byte

Am I hosed? (I.e. will I be able to restore the ASD functionality if I were, for some odd reason, to want to?)
Next time you update your car’s software it will zap all coding.

The ASD coding is the only thing that doesn’t reset. I think I lost the file too…

Someone mentioned you can just put in the code manually, I don't remember exactly what it was, and I can't find the post anymore now...

Hoping someone can assist a new BMW owner. I'm also a Bimmercode virgin.

Connected my Enet cable today and successfully coded the start/stop.

The next feature I was hoping to adjust was the threshold speed for retracting the side mirror. Factory default is 20 kph. Wanting to bump it up to 50.

Do I need new glasses or is the option not available for G80 with ID8?

It's there and it's a standard feature. Not sure you can go that high though.

There's something funky going on with my setup it seems.

Running on Samsung S24. I have no FEM Module. I have no Expert Mode. App is flakey, often not being able to read the modules.

It could be my ethernet to USB adapter. I'll get another one to try.

I don't remember the FEM being available for FA coding but it's been a while since I've been in BC.

Expert modes are available within each module, not just overall in the main menu.

Checking the Bimmercode website it appears mirror threshold speed coding is not an option on the G80.

You need a proper module. That one likely doesn't support the modules or expert mode. I had this issue.

Hi all,

Thanks for all of your posts. I coded the warning at start-up off and ASD off today. Sounds much better on the inside.

I was playing around with the ambient light setting and adjusting colors, but I think that's the wrong module. Initially, I received Day Light Running and Light Bend error codes. After power down and restart I decided to revert to a back up code in bimmercode. No errors now; however, I have one question, when daytime running lights are on, besides the halos, are the little LED slits supposed to be on too? I can't remember them being on during the day.

Thanks in advance.

It takes a while, once you plug it into the phone, for the ethernet adapter to time out DHCP and give itself a private address. Go into your settings and under "Ethernet" (when the device is connected) wait for it to get a 169.254.xx.xx address and then it should connect immediately.

I used a Samsung Fold 5 and the way I connect with Bimmercode or Bimmer utility is with an enet cable from Amazon and a USB to C adapter which i got from Samsung with my Fold 5 - Connecting to my Car :
Open the App _ Put it in Airplane Mode - Go into connections - search ethernet teethering and turn on then go to the app and connect 100X faster then Bluetooth

Thanks Berzerker! Do you know if I can use the same phone to code my wife’s X3 as well? Love not having the warning messages on the M3.

Many times you will get malfunction warnings Immediately after coding. This is actually pretty normal. You can shut down the engine and start again and notice it will all be cleared out.
