Hope yours is in perfect condition and you’re able to take delivery soon.
For me, Today is 14 month anniversary since order was placed…crossed 3 calendar years. the car will have traveled roughly over 7000 miles, only to have arrived with damage. Further extending this odyssey. Happy Friday!

Just got home with the car and I can agree with others that it is well worth the wait and seeing in person is amazing. Had a hard time restraining myself to stay under break in rpms on the ride home.

Only thing I found odd is that the car has chrome exhaust tips. Aren't they supposed to be black with the competition or is that different for carbon exterior package? Noticed on window sticker it did say exterior shadowline trim deletion included, but I was pretty sure that was put on automatically when you select carbon exterior package. Original build was done on 2022 configurator and they moved it over to 2023 build.

Edit: I have no idea why it is attaching the images upside down, no matter how i edit the file to rotate it, they end up upside down on here no matter what

Thanks, we will have to meet up when all of us locals get our cars. Looks like I will be using my check from BMW to buy the M performance carbon fiber exhaust caps since shadowline deletion got added during the 2022-2023 configurator change. Was leaning that direction anyway.

Already ripped out the carbon air filters and dropped in some BMCs. Swinging by buddies detail shop in the morning so he can go check it over and coat the summer wheels, then PPF and ceramic next week. I did notice some specs on the paint that I am assuming is rail dust that didn't come off, so he will be taking care of that.

You have to be careful when selecting options as some get selected without you knowing. The shadow line delete package is where your chrome tops came from. I am not sure what else that effects. With your comment on going from a 22 to 23. The same thing happened to me. We lost jesture control and rear seat heat but gained IDrive 8 and the new sleek IP, which I love.

I went thru our thread here. Seems only 7-8 of us (excluding west coast delivery) that have been part of this thread have received their cars. Very happy for all of you that did get your new machine and hope you’re enjoying it!
7-8 or even 10 seems really minimal given there were hundreds of cars that were on the boat to west coast. Perhaps others did receive but have not posted an update here. What am I missing? Thoughts?

I think you are probably spot on. There are a lot of cars still in Baltimore from what I have heard. I was told my car would be here Monday....it's Wednesday and my CA let me know the car hasn't left Baltimore still. Evidently the car has been released to transport, but the transport company hasn't put it on a truck yet.

Sorry to hear you’re still waiting. I received my car thru Baltimore. I expect there are many others who also did and just aren’t part of the thread. Hang in there—the car is awesome.

That's hard to believe. I took delivery 12/23 and also received the check from BMW last week. When I was still "in business" I was told ALL Baltimore cars were supposed to arrive at the VPC before Xmas. I know there was an issue here and there with the trucking companies, but I would assume that the majority of the Baltimore cars are in customer hands by now. I think people just stop caring the minute their own problem is solved and they don't bother posting here anymore. I'm afraid that the vehicles still at the VPC got severe damage and are being repaired.

Well the beast made it to the dealership. Won the tire lottery and got the Michelins. Should have it home in a garage by Thursday or Friday. Hope the rest of you guys are getting closer.

Everyone in Southern California should receive their cars about a week of the landing date at the latest as long as they process them quickly in Oxnard. They make sold cars priority because they want the units to move. Make sure you dealers all put your names and mark them as sold on the internal BMW server that way they will be first to be processed and released to a shipping company. One more month!

Regarding your chrome exhaust tips,actually I was confused aswell and by selecting Trim deletion = chrome exhaust tips. By NOT selecting this ''add on'' they will come black by default.
