So, just to clarify, does the car typically complete within the designated build week?

I always thought it started on its designated build week but I guess with it having been assigned a VIN, it means it's already started/starting very soon.

Just curious, does the vin show on My Garage once it's available? Or did you ask your CA?

I'm in the UK mate so we don't get to track the car build like the US guys can. I talked to the genius via live chat on the website, he informed me it had been assigned a VIN and at that point, I had to ring the dealership to get ahold of it.

Thanks for this. Also in the UK: and I've been trying to figure out how/whether we can track orders (clearly not!) as I feel awkward about constantly badgering my dealer for updates on the prospective build status. I will, though, give Genius a call (can't seem to use the online chat function on my Mac) and see if they can confirm whether my early April allocation is still holding.

No problem. The live chat can be a bit hit and miss at times; maybe try a different browser. You can badger the geniuses as much as you desire and some of them are more knowledgeable/helpful than others.

North Oxford: great guys there. And super service. I just don't want to keep pestering them for what might be just incremental updates. Which is why it's a pity we don't get what folks in the States have with that MyGarage facility.

It says "prodDate" is 5/2/22. I called the Genius line and they told me that's the date it's expected to finish. That strikes me as insane. I know I have a special order color, but you're telling me it's going to take 6 weeks to build the car? That doesn't seem right.

wtf yea that doesn't sound right at all. i called genius and they said i'm still scheduled for 14. once i go 150 i will let you know what my date is showing

that is week 14 the 14 indicates the week not the date in april. so you are good still
