Stop-sale / delay due to camera issue

Has anybody with an M4 experienced or is experiencing the camera stop sale, or has it only been folks with M3 orders?

Just spoke to my CA; my car is en route from factory to port, and he DOES NOT show that it has any stop sale due to the camera issue. He said he is having that problem with two M3s and M550is, so I'm wondering if it's just the vehicles coming out of that factory.

I believe it's only cars with parking assist is your car optioned with parking assist?

My m4 with park assistance has the stop sale.

It is; but given that the M3 and M4s are built in different factories, I'm wondering if the M4 factory has the parts and it's the M3 factory that doesn't. So if I truly don't have a stop sale then I'm lucky because I do have that package. Or if I don't, and no other M4 does, then it could be that former reason.

Ahh, bummer. OK, well fingers crossed somehow my CA is right. What was your build week/final production day?

anyone else get told that their PCD will have to be canceled due to car having to go to the dealership to fix the issue? I am getting conflicting info....

Mine is set to go to PCD. I haven't heard anything yet, but if that is the case I am not getting this car.

I'm doing PCD and haven't heard that. I ordered from an out of state dealer so it's not like I can go pick up the car from there without some form of inconvenience. Besides the system says that the camera retrofit will be done at the VDC/VPC.

I am in FL and ordered out of TX. Would be a MAJOR inconvenience for me. If it comes down to it i would ask for a discount… i asked my SA to double check this because the ship shows it will go to brunswick and then charleston. Historically this ship has never gone to galveston so idk why he would be told this information.

I don't think they are going to redirect your ship. They would have to use over the road transport. My car was just dropped off the Niagara Highway in Charleston.

M4’s and M550i’s are both built in the same factory in Dingolfing. M3 is built in Munich

Nooooo! Well, here's hoping my CA is right and I don't get hit with a stop sale. I do think I saw at least one other poster whose dealer said they were in the clear but Genius confirmed they have a stop sale. I'll have to double check with Genius when it's actually at port.

If it has parking assist, you will have stop sale.

I asked for parking assist on my build and both the dealer neglected to add it, and for weeks I didn't notice its absence from the build sheet despite reviewing it several times.

Good news is, I've been told by him that my car is free of any stop sales so :woot: I suppose!

Spoke to genius this morning. Somehow the victoria highway is in route to GALVESTON and the genius last week said CHARLESTON. Tracking says otherwise unless theyre going to take it on a truck to galveston. Also stated that the vehicle cannot be delivered at PCD with the recall… this completely ruined all plans i had for the next 2 months

Didn't say that to me, although they said the fix had to be applied at the VPC (and my car is at the Charleston port). They said the fix is currently in development (meaning they have no ETA).

God I wish Porsche was producing anything I want right now (Macan GTS, 911, Cayman).

So does anyone know how deep this backlog goes? I noticed there are still week 24 builds waiting for the retrofit! Wish I would have known this before ordering the parking assist package.

My car was in status "Production Started" on 6/4 and has this crap.
