Nice, thanks for sharing. Which configuration on the controller do you have? I had one that defaulted to open, but sold it before installing my PSI mid pipe. Figured cold starts would be too obnoxious. Thinking of getting another that defaults to "OEM control".

So it looks like your in a parking garage which will amplify the sound but I know that after doing the wire open of the flaps mod it makes a huge difference in sound on these cars. I think we all know that the flaps really never open all the way especially when your revving the car in park. The sound of your midpipe video is much louder and aggressive than some that I've seen and I think that's partly in due to the flaps are actually wide open.
You have to wonder how much louder some of these aftermarket systems truly could be if you either get a valve controller like you did or wire open the flaps? Because I don't think your hearing the full potential at times. |

BMW has increased the burble sound from the factory compared to the S55. opening the valves an upgrading the midpipe makes it even louder.

Don't want to sound dumb but what is the point of a valve controller? I thought the different drive modes opens and closed the valves already.

Factory control never opens the valves 100%, possibly towards the top end. A controller gives you the ability to open them all the way, all the time.
