MAD Single Mid Pipe Resonated vs Non Res

Does anybody have any sounds clips comparing the both? Is there a noticeable difference in sound between each?

Would this be your only exhaust mod?

Plan on doing this next year. But yes, it will be the only exhaust mod at least for a while. Maybe later on down the road would consider doing downpipes but don't know yet.

I do not have clips of both as you requested but I can say that this is currently my only exhaust mod. I have the non-res MAD and I can say that if this is going to be your only exhaust mod go non-res (IMO). With valves closed there is “almost” no difference. With valves open it is more noticeable but by no means rowdy/loud.
I go back and forth on doing more (i.e. down-pipes or rear section). This is my first 6 cylinder performance vehicle and I am still trying to get used to the sound. I don’t dislike it but I am used to and love the sound of the 8, 10 and 12 cylinder engines.

You can add a valve controller for a little more sound

I agree though if you are not going to do downpipe my suggestion is to go non resonated. If downpipes are in the pipeline definitely go for the resonated unless you want it loud and some low end rasp which many people seem to love.

On a stock car the difference is pretty minimal I would say between the res and non res since there isnt much for the resonator to remove.

I also have MAD non res midpipe and absolutely love it. It sounds loud enough when pairing with valve controller. Plenty of burbles and crackles. When valves are closed, it sounds like stock(no drone, rasp etc)
