Is there any point to checking multiple times a day? I figure once I’ve checked in am it’s not going to change until the following day.

Nothing will change until around the timeframe your build is scheduled for.

Wtf? I don’t know what to believe anymore, was week 35 when I got my allocation and was at order received - got moved to week 36 , then moved to 37. There are people on the week 38 thread that have cars in production, I’ve been stuck on scheduled for production for over a month now . This sucks .

This is interesting - all my previous calls with a genius had them re-iterating that I'm in week 37 and there's no known delay etc.

Someone posted a different number to go through an automated system and that just said that I'm "scheduled for production with no set production date". It also did say that there is no known delay associated with my production number either.

I don't know what the story actually is.

I’m week 37 also. My understanding is there are no delays. I checked with my guy in the dealership yesterday and looked at his computer myself. Hopefully 150 this week.

Mine was scheduled for week 37 initially, but then was pushed back to 38.
Been in 111 for weeks now, but I noticed the status has changed to 112 this morning!

Just spoke to another genius representative he told me that I am still build week 37 but that that means my car will not be starting production until week 37. Other genius representatives have told me build week is when it is scheduled to be completed but he was adamant saying that it means when it starts.

Exact same here, one of them told me week 37 is when the production completes, the other have said that is when the production starts...

I have a theory it means that's the week assembly begins (and it usually that finishes in 4-5 days), which means it finishes week 37.

Status 150 or "production begins" usually happens like a week before entering assembly line and I am hopeful for us that will be week 36 at the latest (sometime mid next week)

I’m week 36 and production begins (or 150) hasn’t happened for me yet

Damn there goes my theory Maybe it is when production starts..

This is what the Genius told me:

Quote:
It's confirmed for production week 37.

It's production will start before that, the chassis will be confirmed etc.

The very first stage will be that it's VIN will be confirmed. Then it will go into build.

It's planned for production to finish within week 37. When assembly will finish.

The week number is the week of completion not start week.

Pretty much what I’ve been told as well and confirmed WeeK 36 (still as of today). Frustrating as hell and nobody is able to give me more details whether that be genius or the dealer. Just “expect it to start moving into production eventually” is what the dealer said which is disheartening to hear to say the least.

Well that one is actually right, read it again:

My bad. All I’m saying is this. Once the car is sold, ordered and you get a production number you’re supposed to be at 112. The week you are assigned (example- Week 37) is the week it’s supposed to be completed by. All production done. That has nothing to do with transit of course just finished in the factory.

Thanks that is how I understand it too - 112 since start of Aug, and confirmed production week 37 - so BMW have 2.5 weeks to get it done

Exactly. I suspect that all of us in week 37 will be 150 sometime this week unless the factory is really behind. However I don’t think they are from reading other production week threads. Anyway let’s keep each other informed.

So not to disappoint you but that’s what we’ve been hoping for (or at least I’ve been hoping for) in the Week 36 thread and it hasn’t happened yet lol. Thought for sure I’d be in 150 today and still not. Only reason I’m in this thread is to see how people ahead of us are doing in regards to their statuses. I’ll keep you all updated if I hear anything back!

Just reiterate, my current situation (and others like me in Week 36):

Allocation was received sometime near end of July (so 111)
Went into 112 on 08/02

And that’s about it so far. Confirmed Week 36 still as of today with no delays / holds. Some people that have called have been moved up to Week 37 but as of today Genius / Dealer is still saying Week 36. Tracker still shows 112 and there’s no other movement or update that anyone can tell me about since it went into that status aside from “it’s still showing Week 36”.

My order sheet says week 35–37. So I assumed the worst that I was in week 37. I went 112 on August 8. My allocation was instant and I went right to priority 1 (sold) at the same time I hit 112. I don’t know what that means or if it’s important or if everyone does I’m just relaying the information I got. So your car is supposed to be finished by the end of next week. They better get going.
