Hi, so I’m in the market for a downpipe for my G81.

I have Akrapovic back box and mid pipe. So looking at those but £3k is steep.

I’m in the UK so any recommendations are welcome. There are a number of catted down pipes for c.£1k but I can’t explain the difference between those and the Akro, Fabspeed, AA, Miltek etc. Assume they are just cheap made in China items that won’t last.

Anyone got any feedback.

If the CEL is a concern, get the active autowerke

If thats not a concern, get the MAD catted downpipes.

Catless downpipes- other than the branding there is likely to be not much of a difference other than the design and price. We offer 3 versions a a 3.5'' the standard 3'' and a 3'' resonated version for rasp reduction.

If you are looking at catted downpipes there can be some differences in cat qualities and cell count where spending more will likely get you a higher quality but not always.

We offer a 200 cell race cat that is not guaranteed to turn off the cell however its a great flowing cat that reduces smell and exhaust volume.

Catted DP cost delta solely due to cost of the core, you get what you pay for. For a fit and forget solution, look for HJS core catted DPs from HJS direct or Milltek
