No audio from any source

Went to drive to a doctors appointment and my audio was working just fine. Got back in my car and I have no audio when connected to my phone, trying to make calls or just listening to the radio. When I try to turn volume up it says “no audio source available”. Is this part of the faulty audio module issue that was happening? I just got my car last weekend and it has 600 miles on it.

Does audio work from the FM radio? Does the phone audio problem persist after a phone restart?

Try restarting iDrive.

1. Power on, but engine still off
2. Once iDrive screen animates to life, press and hold down the Vol button for 30 sec straight
3. iDrive will restart

I had the same issue last year. Just reset the iDrive. In my case, my phone was shown to be connected but the media was not working. Hold the on/off button as said above for 30 secs and you should be good to go.

I took it to dealer. Going to see if I can go back and try that. My radio didn’t even put out sound.

I'm having this issue now with my 2023. I tried the iDrive reset and it didn't work. I noticed the pedestrian detection, drive assist, and PDC are all disabled with faults. It goes back to normal after turning the car off for a few mins.

Gonna give this a try. Just picked mine up Tuesday. Nothing from FM, Sirius, iphone. But I still have fake exhaust sound pumping through.

So my Sept delivery has been back to the service centre 10 times (and that 3 months includes 6 weeks overseas)... since i received it new. same deal...no audio (phone and radio). all these check control messages (that included driver assistance restricted, crossroad warning, pedestrian alert, collision warning, and emergency stop assistance). replaced a head unit that controls the amplifier. made no difference. back again tomorrow when i was told there are new software upgrades for the check control messages. wait and see

now after 14 trips back to the service department they have replaced..,,
1. amplifier module
2. power brake booster (what a joke)
3. receiver audio module (65125A9BF91)

this seems to have sorted the problem after 14 trips to the service department over the past 6 months. if you google check control messages, then the receiver audio module comes up as a culprit.

compensation for the stuff ups...purchased an iX1 for the bride. what a contrast to driving an ICE!

You are a patient man. After that many tries I would have driven it to the worst part of town and left it with the keys in it and windows down.
