There's a reason for everything so lets give Checo some slack, he was unlucky with the red flag for KMags' Haas stopping on the track and then being forced to wait to resume which cooled his tyres too much.

"We are fighting for the team championship, but I think I can do that alone at the moment."

Media stirring it again with the 'swipe' bit where it doesn't exist, and getting mixed up with comparing Mercedes constructor points with Max's driving points to make it seem to new on the scene F1 fans that the championship battle is closer.

IMHO the message is quite the opposite: demonstrating the dominance of Verstappen at the wheel of his RB19 this season: so far he pocketed more points than Hamilton and Russell together. No Fastest Lap: 1 point lost.

Managed to break his front wing in the slippery Silverstone pitlane though during the qualies ("no grip").
