I recently picked up a new 24' g82 comp w/ id8. I don't have the drive recorder app for some reason. I go to the app store in the car and it says I am subscribed w/ unlimited subscription. I tried updating the apps and updating the software through the menus without any success.
Any idea how I can get it installed?

Did the car have the Drive Recorder option? It’s not a standard feature.

Yeah, its part of the premium package here in Canada which the car has

At least in the US, as long as you have the Parking Assistance Package (360 cameras), you can add the Drive Recorder after the fact.

I've got a new to me G82 and have the Parking Assistant Package. How do you add the Drive Recorder? And would you say that the Drive Recorder completely takes the place of a dash cam? Seems it would.
Does it have a time lapse feature?

If you drag down from the top right of the screen, do you see the app there?

Ok wow, that worked thanks!! Still no icon on the app list but least the feature is working now. My main concern was the triggering of the camera when there was an accident so least thats enabled now.

If I recall, Drive Recorder is in All Apps or Infotainment section, not in the Vehicle Apps section
