Oil cooler guard / skid plate

The optimum solution is to install the air-dam with any setup. It will redirect the air so that air forced through the cooler top down will be increased (low pressure zone). I get that the Mishi hangs low but at an aerodynamic angle versus the right-angled rubber dam which will effectively disrupt the air flowing under the bumper. With that said, this difference only matters for the 10% of you that actually push the car for extended periods or take to track. There is only upside to leaving the dam in place.

Well my turn. Installed it today after it's been sitting in the garage for a month or so.

The stock one was beat to shit... previous owner definitely definitely did something and broke the plastic parts. Luckily the cooler itself is 100%.

Took 30 minutes to install, super easy.

No it's stock suspension.

They sell longer run ramps which I will have to get once I lower it.

How flimsy is that thing?

The weld that holds one of the raised screw holds can break off if something heavy is put on it. Mine broke when I ordered mine. Fed Ex is the worst when it comes to shipping damage !!!

So I ran over basically piece cement curb that was laying in middle of spot in parking lot.
I turned in the parking lot around another car and ran right over never saw it. Luckily low speed.

It crushed the portion where rubber dam was and u can see further down it hit the plate and left big mark on it.

I can imagine what that sounded like. It looks like the skid plate did its job, right? Hopefully the plate was the only thing that got damaged.

My god man. The sound!! I thought it’s over. As far as I can tell just the plate. Gonna order new one cuz the lip portion is destroyed

My shop took this plastic piece with the clips off (circled in black) when installing the Mishi skid plate. Is it necessary to put back?

I don’t really think so since it’s covered anyway by the mishi.

That wasn’t his pic. He took one of Dawgz’ and edited it. If we could see his specific issue, it would be better to understand what pieces he says are missing or perhaps may be covered and he can’t see them.

Here you go, hope this helps. It's the plastic piece that sits right in front of the oil cooler. I want to know if I should have them put it back. I'm also aware I'm missing the rubber air dam. I ordered it already and will replace.
