Hi All,

I've recently had my M4 G82 wrapped in a Hexis Wrap, with Halo PPF ontop. I've had this combination on many cars in the past including BMW's and never had any issues. However since having it wrapped, the sensors are not working. After about 20 seconds of driving I have the errors flash up that the sensors are restricted.

This is stopping Lane Control, Blind Spot and oncoming traffic sensors from working.

Is this definitely the wrap causing this? Or is it a fault? Has anyone else got a wrapped/PPF'd G82 having this issue? Any solutions other than removing wrap on sensors?

Yeah, they have taken it back and checked.

It’s possible if they disconnected them with power on the car, there’s stored codes for them that aren’t self-clearing ones. Do you have software to check for active codes and to clear them?

You can always try the old dirty trick of disconnecting the battery for a couple of min and reconnecting it to clear them, but depending on the car, that could trip some modules up where it still requires a proper DTC clear for everything.
