Ohlins for G8X X-Drive = Ordered

I’ve been waiting for the Ohlins for the G8X chassis for awhile now. Bought KW HAS to hold me over, but never installed since I didn’t want to pay labor twice. My friend works at a shop and I’ve been bugging him probably every few months on these. Time has finally come and Ohlins are ready to be ordered, and I just placed my order this morning at a hell of a price.

I might be a little bit of a Ohlins fan boy, had a set on my GTR, E92 M3, E46 M3 race car (did very well out of the box, ended up going a little stiffer on the springs and a revalve next season because of the aero and slicks, and my track Miata. These are probably the best dual purpose coilovers in my opinion in this price range for a high quality coilover. On my E90 M3 I had JRZ and my 2022 BRZ I have MCS, but those are more than twice the price. Ohlins ride extremely smooth and you can take it to the track have fun and drive home while keep Cadillac like comfort.

I couldn't find the coilovers on their main web page for the G80.

Are they still in development?

While I was on their page I noticed the warranty is only for 2 years. What I like about the KW is they have a lifetime warranty on their coilovers. I have no idea how quickly these things go bad, but that gives me a peace of mind.

Interesting option no adjustability of comp/rebound but the spring and spring rate are matched to a strut. Kinda slots between a HAS and a full c/o.

Correct. EDC can either be coded out or use code isolators.

They are single way adjustable.

The RWD version has already landed and is shipping.

X-Drive is supposed to land in October or sooner.

We just installed a set of a G80 Ohlins R&T xDrive (coupled with Millway Street Front Tension Strut/Thrust Arm Bushings) last week:

Won't want to hijack OP's post, we'll see if he has pics of his setup yet.
