Hand delivery to femto

I am traveling to Germany the first week of April to inspect a Alpina I am importing to the us and plan to make pit stop in Finland to drop off my Ecu to Femto. Would there be any interest from anyone to have me do the same for them ? I would prefer to only have to carry two pelican cases as carry on, in case a lot of members are interest.

My initial thought would be 350 per ecu, no idea if that seems reasonable to everyone or not.

Is $350 competitive?
How much does it cost to send to Femto?
Probably wanna be more competitive with that price, I would think...

~ $150
so ~$300 total

given that the entire process from sending the DME to receiving it takes 5 business days, it's faster to ship the DME to Femto than have someone deliver it, but of course, you run the risk of DHL losing or damaging the DME.

With that said, I would take my chances with DHL rather than give my DME to a complete stranger on the internet, no disrespect OP.

I did not realize that they stopped allowing people to hand deliver.

I should have done more research before posting.

I don't trust DHL or any other carrier to safeguard my packages anymore. Anyone who's business relies on these carriers to ship in parts, products ect can agree with this. The days of trusting them to deliver what they promised and when they promised are long gone. Hell, they wont even refund your money if they miss their promised delivery date/time like they did pre covid.

Then factor in that you can not add the insurance to replace your ecu so they do not sieze your package when it enters or exits Finish customs is more than enough to make not only myself and others worried.

Lastly, who hut you ? Instead of being happy for someone going over to Germany to inspect a car they are about to buy, you just start acting like a child ??

Hopefully your day is going better than when you wrote that post.

No disrespect taken at all. I figured making the post would bring in some doubt which is totally understandable.

I personally just dont trust any shipping company today to do what they are supposed to with everything I have watched happen during and since Covid. Its genuinely why I haven't sent out my ecu to be unlocked yet, being out 10k with no possibility of recourse scares the crap out of me.

Except everyone else on this forum shipped DME via DHL and there hasn’t been any problems.
In fact even if you go CARBAHN route via dealer they ship out DME as well.
What you are saying makes very little sense…. Don’t trust shipping company but someone else on here should trust you???

DHL must be doing something right to have 89 Billion USD revenue in 2023.
I get it, we have all been burned by shipping companies at some point.
