Curious, does removal of the torque limits affect only tuned cars?

I'm curious if it'll help with the throttle closures I get when using jb4. Still waiting for my xhp adapter so curious if you guys with locked ecu's and on jb4 have noticed it helps or not

Did you ever hit the launch control limit counter with your car?
With the f90 yes

What was the side effect of hitting the limit counter? And did the trans tune help much?

It pretty much reset it with drag mode on. Now that I flashed it on the g80 I plan on using drag mode instead of lc to keep the counter down.

How does drag mode compare to the stock launch control?

It works pretty much the same. But you don't have to be in manual mode. So you just brake boost and go.

I haven't driven long enough to notice. I just flashed it this afternoon.

What stage and how's driving in drivelogic 1? Is it smooth?

I went straight to stg 3. The shifts are faster. A little jerky at low speed.

Have you noticed less delay between pressing the paddle and actual shift? Especially at WOT and redline.

From factory the actual transmission shift speed is quick enough but there are most times when there is a bit of electronic delay between input and actual shift.

So far it feels instant. But I haven't done any full wot runs.

A guy in one of the G80/G82 FB groups did the XHP flash and says he got slower... He posted a few dragys and he supposedly went from a 10.5 to a 11.1. DA was +1000 on the second run, but I dont think that would account for over a half second added.

I reached out to BMS regarding this upgrade; they will test it and share their results.

I'll share their feedback as soon as its available

So I ran the Stage 3 flash, here's my observations/ramblings
  • Shifts in drivelogic setting 3 are a lot more aggressive and undoubtedly quicker - I wouldn't say it's a massive difference but it is quicker for sure
  • 100-200 - I got a new personal best of 5.94s (that's on pump fuel and OTS stage 2 BM3 map)
  • LC will now engage 2nd gear by default (this is not customisable in settings from what I can see) - in this setting, I get a consistent 3s 0-60 (2.98s lowest) - before the flash, I got a 2.8s 0-60 but that was a 1st gear launch
  • Regarding above point, it does say in XHP app that you need to customise the LC torque scaling manually for tuned cars as by default it's set for stock cars so I probably need to play around with that to get a faster 0-60
  • I launched in D3 in 1st gear with DSC off and got a 0-60 of 2.79s (basically just as fast as LC stock, this means even if I blow my 50 launch counter, I can still rely on this to get me a good launch)
  • LC now can also be engaged in RWD mode for xDrive cars... Not confirmed as I only tried this once and immediately aborted, I will have to try again to see if it was a random glitch or not.. not sure how I feel about this, I would like RWD not to engage LC when as I use it for warming up tyres
  • On Dragy I got a 1/4 time of 10.55 but it was a bit wet and surface not great so I don't think its the XHP tune. I need to try again on the same road and dry conditions as before when I ran 10.46 (pre XHP flash) - I will do that this weekend

So it starts from 2nd gear? Strange... but good info 👍

Do you know where to get additional info on this? has it been hard proven to be 50 launches and then soft launches? How much of a difference? I've heard rumblings about this, but not any hard data or evidence.
