Thought I’d share an issue and what the solution was…

My phone was connecting to the car just fine but it would not display Maps or any useful information. When I looked at my phone, it just gave The direction view as if it was displaying on the car screen.

After disconnecting the phone, restarting it, reconnecting as a new device. It still did not work.
I turned off the phone again and while the car was on I held the volume button down for just over 30 seconds so iDrive would reset… rebooted phone and connected and back to working again. I believe it was the iDrive reset that fixed it. Hold power/volume down forever until it turns off and back on again
