missing 'notification' sounds on G80

Hi. Just taken delivery of my G80 M3 competition in the UK, and been getting into the iDrive 8 and setting the car up as I would wish it.

Couple of things I can't figure.

There was an invite on BMW Connected Drive email to trial a free month of speed camera warnings. I accepted this and today, sure enough, in the head-up display, it gives a 0.25 mile warning of cameras. Great! Went into the menu, found it, clicked on the box to add 'notification' sound as well, but the sound does not happen.

Similarly, when I set up a speed warning, then drive faster than that, I get the speed warning icon in the head-up display but, again, no sound!

Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received.

I believe "Notification" is for your phone giving you notifications through iDrive. I don't think that's for anything the car will pop up.

Also, I'm not sure how accurate or kept up-to-date BMW's database of speed cameras is, I'd use Waze for that.
