Checked out his pic and that’s definitely a clean setup. It could make the R8 arrows pointless (don’t know the view from drivers seat or if you care about that).
Adding quick pics of the blendmount incase you’re still wanting. From the pic you can see it would be in your view a lot more than the permanent method but I still don’t ever notice it when driving, only occasionally in a parking lot when I’m looking 2 o clock |

You can try mount it comes with, the one with the 2 smaller suction cups. I find it actually works quite well. I did end up installing the blendmount anyway.

Does it have any issues in colder climates? I read a thread of someone whose RD fell off due to the suction mount and he lost power in his mirror as the mirror tap wire got yanked and had to take it to the dealer to have it repaired.

Lol. It’s true. It’s a bit more wider and taller than the R7.

I did take the mirror plug out and it was not easy. I tried to use needle nose pliers and the plastic edges of the mirror plug broke off in many places as it takes a good amount of pressure to remove it. I think the prongs can be inserted only one way which is beneath the wires (if u look at the pic above) but having the right diameter prongs is the key. Plus removing the plug gives u a bit more room to maneuver but I dont know if I will do that again. I was sweating bullets trying to get it out and the plastic tabs kept on breaking
