Headed on a work trip to Lexington and Louisville. Never been before and the conference I'm attending doesn't go all day so get to explore some. Never been to either town so looking forward to it.

Watching the launch on NASA TV. My connection for KSC launch tickets during the Space Shuttle era is gone. Besides, how can you top watching a night shuttle launch from the KSC grounds...with a huge visible comet overhead...and the CAPCOM telling the crew that they were cleared to wake up the Space Coast? I was at day launches, a night launch, and even an RSLS abort where they had to shut down the main engines an instant before lighting the fireworks due to an engine sensor anomaly.

I still have catching an Antares/Cygnus launch from Wallops Island in Virginia on my bucket list. There are two public viewing locations that are less than 2 miles from the pad, and launches there do not draw many spectators because Wallops is so far off the beaten tourist path. The closest that I could get to pads 39-A/B back in the day was five miles, and even my congressman couldn't score me tickets for the 3-mile VIP viewing area around the VAB.....

Yeah Pine Forest. Used to play Wescott often but their employee's have been assholes in recent past for no reason so won't go back. Which sucks, because it's a nice course for the area.

It's a good day today because I just ordered a new Google Pixel 6 Pro on my company's dime. We've been on Sprint over the years and now just transitioned over to T-Mobile, so far so good. It seems the 5G network is fairly robust. Can't wait to get the new phone to be able to finally take advantage of 5G not to mention my WiFi-6 at home.
