So I ordered 2 sets of the M door pins and got through 3/4 doors. On the last door as I was carefully prying up I mustve grabbed the pin too low and yanked out the metal pin. So the door locks/unlocks using the handle and buttons, but the newly installed M door pin doesn't actually budge. I can physically grab the pin and pull it up 7-8" including the attached metal before it resists and completely comes out.

Anybody had this happen? I've had to remove the door panels on an e92 but it's been a bit since I've done door related work on an M car.

Figured it out, for the rear door 2 T20 screws removed, used plastic trim tool to pry apart lower part of door. Reconnected the end of the metal pin into the yellow plastic piece and once I replaced the door panel the door pin started moving up/down for lock/unlock...
