Removing the grille entirely actually made the front look a bit better..

I agree.

And here is a thought...

If there was a BMW race car looking like this first, and then they would release the production car, the fan boys would love it just because of racing heritage.

As is, it remains an ugly production car that gives birth to a may be less ugly race car.

Thing is, race cars can be ugly, and that's ok. If they would inspire a road going car it would work better. I really wish this agressive car styling thing would just go away for a bit. I want beautiful looking cars, not aggressive crap with large intakes.

Im staring at a 911 every morning as I go to work, it has no grilles at all and it looks just fine.

You're in luck! There are plenty of beautiful looking cars that aren't "aggressive". Why not look at them instead of BMW Ms? There are those of us who really appreciate the aggressive looks in production cars. The thing is, beauty is entirely subjective.

The thing that got me into M3s over Audi or AMG is the styling. In my opinion, BMW M has done a far better job of making the M3/4 stand apart from the base non-M models. The F80 was my first M for this reason and the G80 I feel like takes that aggressive styling even further in the right direction. When I see an Audi A4 drive by, I can't tell if its an S4/RS4 until I see either the badge or the quad exhaust.

Appreciate the photos, cool shots!

I'm sure they have their reasons - but can't help but wonder why they installed over-fenders to only run 225 fronts with absolute shite fitment?

I like F30 designs, E90s. Just not into modern BMW language which turned into vulgar version of what it used to be. I dont plan to buy the modern M cars, but am looking at the V8 M3 sedans currently. Good thing there is choice for all!

At my little dealership in my little town in Florida they are now 12 deep in the hole with people waiting for allocations to buy the G8X. So there’s that. Sometimes you just have to be in the minority FrozenGT. You’ll just have to take comfort you drive a Lexus.

Hold up that front end actually looks great without the grills... someone needs to get creative and replicate this look with some tuner style mesh grilling that fits the car.

In other words you can't accept change. Look into Buick while you're at it. Nice and safe, just how you like it.

Hey there guy, this isnt Twitter, no need to be nasty like that to people you dont know. I was just pointing out that BMW design language went astray in my opinion, and it has nothing to do with how accepting I am to "change".

I don't even know what is Metamucil and you do, which is ironic.
