That's awesome. You should be able to get your Vin # now that it's produced and search the carriers to see if it's on a ship. From what I've heard, Genius is pretty slow to update. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

I'm in Ontario and ordered today at MSRP. I don't think dealers are marking up price here since most of people are already on the list with a deposit.

This is what I'm struggling with. Will there be allocations each month? Will the demand and subsequently sales prices decrease in 6-12 months? Personally I don't think so which is pushing me to place an order now vs wait months to a year and be in the same position, scrambling for an allocation at MSRP.
Yes. Like every other M3 in history. There will be plenty of allocations available. Save yourself the money. This is not a limited edition series.

Meh, you could say that about anything. Buying new at MSRP or with a 7% discount are both bad deals given depreciation is going to rip you a new one for probably $2k/month for 2 years.

Anyone who is serious about something that makes financial sense wouldn't even be dreaming of buying a new M3 - discount or not.

This makes zero sense. Let's waste $15K because the car will depreciate regardless?

What mythical $10k - $15k are you even referring to? You're making an assumption about the future price. By your logic, why wait 6 months? Why not wait a year for some early leases/second hand one to come up? Why not wait another year for those ones to get even cheaper? Why not wait until the LCI and get the pre-LCI ones at a discount? Why not wait until the next model and get these ones even cheaper?

LOL at paying a markup or even MSRP for a run of the mill production car. Get your heads checked.

I love this comment. It should be a sticky.

But if it weren't for the allure of novelty then this car wouldn't be attractive to anyone for it is ugly, and the question wouldn't exist. Find the right time to not buy this car and you will be rewarded with good taste…forever.

I have spoken.

Thanks for confirming!

My dealership submitted my order (RWD) today however it hasn't been fully approved/accepted so no production number yet. Perhaps because I'm doing an individual color?
