I wasn’t a fan of the M4 CSL until this comparison with the gt4! Very impressive!

It is, around 2sec difference with a fully prepped and lighter car is pretty impressive.

It’s pretty interesting how they cut weight on the GT4 by only using 1 intake box

The CSL just needs wider wheels and tires. That will fix the twitching of the rear end.

Do we need to “fix” that though?

He did say the tires on the race car had over 20 laps on them. BMW team predicts that the car is more like 3.5-4 secs faster with new tires.

Does this mean that the 911 GT3RS is as fast as, or faster than the M4 GT4?

You are right.
Furthemore it seems but to be confirmed GT4 is in 450BHP configuration to respect BOP.
And it is probable CSL is not more 5 round full throttle capable because of tire's temp.

Nevertheles very good lap time for stock car!

Probably not if the GT4 has fresh tires. Remember, this is a GT4 spec race car (vs GT3). The 992 GT3 MR (manual) lapped this track in 1.27 so 1.25 for the higher downforce RS is plausible.

Parts are meant to be available to M Motorsports clients/team but I'm sure with a lot of effort and money you could track one down. Wouldn't be worth it though.

Not sure what he says in German about it, but wouldn't surprise me if it's designed to suppress performance or otherwise conform to class rules versus optimizing on gains.

The Alpina s58 engine has both intakes on that side. I would think the shorter travel of air is quicker spooling of turbos?
