the difference is quiet big, but it is not unexpected.
I mean with 8 gears you are always in the perfect RPM band... and 30HP/100NM is quiet a lot. But he says it right, if you look for driving engagement the MT is the way to go. |

Two cars ago I was in a very different headspace with my B8.5 S4. I kept convincing myself that if I could just make the damn thing faster it would be more fun, and when a full E85 dual pulley setup didn't do it for me I figured the only other logical place to go was to a Model 3 Performance. My god is the M3P fast - it's fast from a stop, but it pulls just as hard at 20, or 30, or 40. The kind of speed that makes your head feel a little fuzzy. But even with that impossible speed, what I came to realize during my time with the Tesla is that in my search for a more fun experience I had actually moved further from my goal. I had that car for 6 months before swapping out of the lease and ordering a 6MT. For the past 3 weeks I've been borrowing one of my friend's spare cars - an old 5MT Impreza "Sport". It feels like a lumbering beast compared to the Tesla and the Audi, but I'll be damned if I don't find myself more excited to drive that car than either of those other two. |

A little frustrating to know much more the base care is capable of with an ECU tune alone...
Also exciting to imagine what people are able to do once it's cracked!
