If it were me and I was going with an individual color I wouldn't do limerock, nardo, or any of those similar colors since they're already close to Brooklyn. If I'm spending $5k on individual I want it to look individual

Definitely not Skyscraper. Skyscraper is much more silver in direct lighting than the car depicted.

Yes. I ordered both of these cars for store inventory. The M3 is a 2021 and very different lighting conditions.

They are in no way similar to Brooklyn

Thanks for all the responses! I didn't know LRG won't be available for the MY23 models. I have been leaning toward San Marino blue which I've found a good amount of examples in

Just bought a 50 Jahre Edition yesterday in Lime Rock. Not necessarily a color I would have chosen first, but the car wears it well!
Had the opportunity to buy this one at a good deal yesterday after waiting since January for an allocation, so I jumped on it. |

I like cars with color, particularly the whole family of BMW blues. First on my list for the 50 Jahre model would have been Interlagos Blue.
My last car was a Long Beach Blue 2018 F87 M2- a fantastic car that looked and handled great! My custom order was actually Aventurine Red though, with Tartufo full leather. The car I got is Lime Rock Grey, over extended black (that has special stitching and embroidery for the 50 Jahre version). Very different, but I like it quite a bit as well! No regrets! This particular grey has a subtle metallic flake that gives it some interest. Truly, all of the colors inside and out on a G8X are fantastic, especially the 'individual' ones. Hard to go wrong. Other colors next on my short list were Tanzanite Blue and Isle of Man Green- was a very hard decision between the top 3, but the photo thread here of the red made it easy to choose that- it's gorgeous! |

Congrats! A bit jealous here, it would have been my choice if this edition was not only for US market

Congratulations. If you do not mind asking, were you able to get it around MSRP? Does it have the Carbon Buckets?

Not MSRP, but not far over either.
Certainly not anywhere near the +20-30K some (deluded) dealers are asking for these... After all, even though it's 1 of 500 of this version produced, it's only a cosmetic & options package (and a cheap M branded suitcase in the trunk ). I do hate markups and have refused to pay them on a custom ordered car, but it makes (slightly) more sense to me on a car in stock and in very high demand. Odd time we're in... Went for it since the time was right for still getting good value from my previous ride (F87). Not sure that will still be the case in 5-6 months when my custom ordered one _might_ have arrived. Likely a wash on the money I paid over, and I didn't have to wait anymore- at least that's what I'm telling myself. The car came as ordered by the dealer, in Lime Rock Grey with sport seats and red calipers on steel brakes- not carbon buckets, but I actually didn't want them anyway. I have driven M3s and M4s with the carbon buckets, but I decided against them early on for my daily driver. They're not THAT special, a bit less comfortable for me, and quite a bit less comfortable for my wife, so that's that. |
