Yeah not a fan. Black hides some of the better lines. But it least it de-emphasizes the grille. The interior choice on that colour is awful, and it's probably time we ended the glossy CF trend. Isn't there an open pore CF trim option or am I imagining that?

Nope. Almost a year later, still not interested. A 6MT is not enough to overcome having to look at it.

It's a shame cause I have to explore the preowned market now.
What? I never had to get used to the F8X. Was there an uproar about the looks? I don't think so. This "getting used to" thing is just ridiculous. I personally don't think it's bad. But I also don't love it. And as much as we want to say that we don't care what other people think, this is a BMW and an expensive one at that. I hesitate buying a car that people look at and think WTF.

As far as color, black looks good. Dark colors seem to look good. They hide the grill. But that's a little weird, to choose a color that hides a major feature of the car. If it's so great we should want to accentuate it.

Looks very aggressive in black. Looks good from the back and also the front (apart from the placement of that sensor).

Instrument Panel is so terrible. Worst than the grilles for me. Looks like a cheap clock radio.

I was totally on track for a G80, having a 15 F80 M3. The G80, just isnt working for me, so traded for a M2CS this week.

The Car looks fantastic. I'm so sick of hearing all the hate on this grill. The grill serves an important purpose in cooling the vehicle. In addition it looks damn aggressive.

I'm highly confident that BMW sales in M cars this year will be better than before. I see the evolution of BMW M and happy to see them step out of the box a little. I've read some performance reviews on here already which are promising.

At this point if you hate it you hate it, but i'm hoping BMW ignores the noise and continues on.

Black is definitely the colour choice for the questionable design of the M4.
The M3 on the other hand looks good in any colour I've seen.
Interior really needs the Carbon seats.
Wheel arch gap needs immediate attention too.

meh
you need brighter colors like yellow or red to show off the design and curves of the car. It is a black ext/ grey interior, just a boring color combo

I'm glad for you also, a good looking good car shouldn't have to grow on you. How is it over at the Audi forum?

Given that you haven't driven one that's an interesting statement, the M3/4 has always been the benchmark in the class so that's quite a call you've made based on zero info.

You know it's becoming a running joke that every other G8x post is about the colors and nothing about the driving. Are they making cars or color swatches?

Hard to get driving reviews when they don't let anyone actually drive it...as far as they told me in switzerland it was the only possibilty worldwide (expect M employees of course)...
they should give the cars to the press and let them review it.

And hard to get driving reviews when there are no cars in the wild to drive.

Surely they'd be letting reviewers drive them with a m employee riding along. They do that normally don't they? I remember that happening with the last M3 when they were still in camo.

I have tested an m440i actually and it was numb, heavy and disconnected (and almost as ugly) and the point I'm making is NOT that it's a bad car to drive (how could I even know this as it's not even released) HOWEVER from my experience with the new 4 series and the £90,000 odd price means their are going to be far better cars for that money, proof? It's called the 911. Saloon? The quadrifoglio. Not too mention the car is fugly too.

A brand new 911?In what world do you live where this has the same price as the M3/M4? Fully loaded M3 comes a little more than a 911 BASE with absoloutely NOTHING and crappy 385BHP.
I have no idea oh what 911 you are talking about.

The QV I actually studied quiet long before I decided to go for the M3. Why? I freakin work for Alfa Romeo Racing!
And say what you want, it is justified that the BMW costs more. except from all technology which the QV just doesn't have the service you get with BMW is lightyears better than the sh** FCA is doing. With the garages and the costumer.
The QV may be a fun driving car and better than the F80, but the G8X series is a LOT better. Alfa has to stretch and bring some new stuff if they still want to compete.

So whatever you are saying here is utterly nonsense. The C63 may be a better option if you don't mind having auto but it's still more expensive than BMW.
