Why would the designers put those indents in the hood. They don’t look good and water is going to collect in there every time it rains. Then when it dries there will be dirt left in that area. Its a terrible design feature.I dislike it even more than the huge kidney grilles.

Same! That frozen is the bees knee. But the upkeep and maintenance involved would be absolutely frightening. Not to mention if you have a scratch or paint dent...

These pictures are great. This is the first time I can see the pronounced M4 rear arches. The yellow release M4 in all the videos and photos did a bad job of showing off the M4's lines. These pictures clearly show how different the M4 is compared to the 440i.

When I first heard of IOM green, I thought, no way, not ever. After seeing it on the car in different lights, the color just pops and the hue is just amazing accented with black. Currently my first choice. Looks absolutely stunning in on the car.

Decisions
These are my two front runner colors along with frozen red. Really a tough call and both look stunning. Glad I will have time to see them in person by waiting for awd. All things equal I will likely go IMG to avoid the frozen maintenance concerns.

M4 coupe looks surprisingly good in the green. M3 sedan looks surprisingly good in frozen gray, I normally dont like either green or frozen colors.
Note however that the fender extension piece is cringeworthy |

Like many I absolutely hated the grills. However, after seeing them so much it’s not that I ever hated them, it’s that I couldn’t accept such a big deviation from the bmw we knew. So it’s not that they are growing on me but rather acceptance that this is the design language. Looking at it from that perspective it does make the f8x series, including the new m2 cs look dated
Now to jus get over the hood indents and busy rear bumper . I think this car in LCI or cs form is going to look wicked. If you can’t accept the new design language then keep your f8x generation. The car looks like it’s from the future in comparison to the f8x series- that doesn’t take anything away from the f8x but with half or full electric coming to these models in under 2 generations more, probably something we need to come to grips with The front looks super aggressive in a good way but I’m still not sure it’s put together in a matter that flows. It gives me more American muscle vibes than it does German elegance, just a diff thing |

Colors make all the difference with these 2 cars.
First I didn't like the M4 in the launch yellow, but now that I see the M4 in Green, it changes everything. Also, the M3 looks bad ass in Green, but after I see in Black and Frozen Gray, it's even better !! Damn BMW lol |
