I can't believe I'm saying this but the G80/G82 front looks *worse* than the G22 front - it's like putting lipstick on a pig.

I am super happy and fortunate that I bought my F82 M4 last year.

Is this the coupe or the sedan? I really don't mind the front though I prefer my previous F80 asthetics wise.

The grills aren’t even symmetrical with the sensor in the bottom right! Looks awful!

Again, I'm shocked at how surprised some members are acting. We saw this bumper months ago.

It's possible, my friend had a shop Frankenstein a 1M/335i bumper for his car..

With the right demand, anything is possible, I guess..

Exactly the whole front is seen in that distorted b&w photo leaked long time ago. The rest of the car though is brand new, especially the size of the rear wheel arches no longer hiding under camo. And the width of the side skirts.

So not only are the grills huge, but they are separate, with some likely having a plate bridge the gap, as well as a sensor which is off center and will be emphasize by the center plate and divide. This design is pure s***.

Seriously, I hope the first owner douses it with holy water and then light it on fire, so it doesn't reproduce

I don't care how fast this car is. It can't outrun the ugly.

I'll give it a chance, but man am I disappointed right now.

Who knows, maybe after the feedback received around the world about the grilles could provoke BMW to make a drastic change for the LCI model!

Is that a Hemi under the hood? Those fake vent lines belong on a Charger, not an M3. This car is beyond ugly. I am just so shocked and disappointed. I hoped that these teasers were there to fool us and that they would release something that would blow our minds away.

And whats up with that huge lip below the grills? That'll scrape like crazy. The F8X was designed more practically and was shorter/higher than the sides which made it less prone to scraping and made it look more aggressive.

Hot take, the M-sport front will look better than the M

edit: just saw the leak and yikes, I stand by my "hot take" lol. Scott said this was going to be the most radical, aggressive, aerodynamic looking M car ever. They put a generic mouth under the grilles. Neat...

Cause M3s aren’t primarily built for looks
All those details you hate on have a performance function to fill.

Like all BMW I think they look better in person, they are hard to photograph, except the E28 and E36. The rest do not come very well in photos. Will reserve judgement till the real deal, however it may have some serious potential.
BMWs look amazing in photographs. This one will too.

So much bumper material on the lower sides, I liked it more when that was a big open cooling space that meant business. This doesn't look to have enough cooling to last a day at the track. I'm lost and confused ...
So is the design team at BMW.

I'm not sure if they're acting. Maybe there's a group of us who religiously follow the forums while others come and go. I guess those really shocked area those who aren't very up to date with the news.

All about airflow for cooling and induction folks. Not a design choice, a necessity. Remember when driving lights were eliminated on the E9x? This is where we are today. I can't imagine how much air is needed for the AWD CS version. It will be silly.

I was totally ok with selling my E92. I was ready for this car. Excited.

My initial gut reaction is the same as meeting someone from online for a date and having them looking nothing like what you expected. In a bad way. Your heart sinks.

But. I'm sure it'll drive great and I don't have to look at it behind the wheel. And maybe the M3 will have better proportions. I'll reserve full judgement until I can take this relationship into the real world.
