ENZIAN BLUE G82 M4 delivered (pictures and video)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I picked up my individual Enzian Blue M4 at the BMW Performance Center in the pouring rain. It was still a great experience despite the weather. I decided I wanted one of the individual blues, and even though I scoured the internet for pictures and video of Enzian I still wasn't sure what I was exactly getting. I had a general idea, but was blown away and nearly verklempt when I walked into the delivery room at the Performance Center. I'm posting this thread and included video to help those considering Enzian. It's really difficult to capture the true color in pictures and video so I took pictures and video in different locations and light conditions to help give the best idea possible. The color is a rich royal blue with a slight hint of turquoise. It's that hint of turquoise that is difficult to capture in pictures and video. It's a really beautiful and really unique color that really stands out, especially in bright sunlight.

Looks amazing. Wish I knew about this, would have loved to see the car! Never seen Enzian Blue in person before. Congrats!

What a beautiful color. It's funny because I was going to give you a hard time about only posting one photo in your other thread. Kudos!

Stunning! I really want to see how Voodoo and Santorini look on the G80, but ~90% sure I’d go Santorini. The Visualizer and monitor calibration helps a little, but like you say: you just don’t know until you see it in person.

I just wish there was a way you could get BMW to send samples, even if I was willing to pay for them. I got the deck company to send me vinyl plank samples for some money, I don't know why BMW can't before I give them $4500

They all seem so close, I feel like I probably would have been happy with any of the three. What about Pure Blue? Its right in there as well. That was also on my short list. On the configurator Voodoo looks a bunch lighter than Enzian, but in pics I've seen it seems like a vivid royal blue.

We'll see how long I can hold out. The weather is nice to so I can still go to the DIY and I'm still in the honeymoon period with my car so I don't mind the extra bonding time with it. I've been taking my Jeep through the same drive through wash and it has no swirls that I can see. Really on this car I'm most worried about the black plastic pieces as they are already scratched and the car has only been hand washed or dried.

Yes, that's next to work on. Although the vid isn't going to be as exciting as I hoped since it rained the entire time. Couldn't get all the footage I'd have wanted to. Good thing I didn't buy the drone I was considering.

Congrats again, snareman! Such a gorgeous color and it some of the lighting conditions there is definitely a hint of LSB to it.

Any mods planned for it? You should at least get the front and rear reflector deletes from IND.

Thanks. I actually don't mind the reflectors. I really don't even see them when I look at the car. I told myself that even though I bought this one as opposed to leasing that I wasn't going to go crazy with mods. I added a TON of CF stuff on my F82. Small thing, but I'm not thrilled with the aluminum on the steering wheel and wouldn't mind replacing that with a CF piece. I don't mind the tetragon trim, but I should have paid the $950 for the CF interior trim. I don't regret not paying $4800 for the exterior trim though. I also keep thinking I should get it wrapped, especially the black parts.

Well done on the color. It's legit great... I think your only regret will be inspiring too many others to copy it and there will be more of them out there! After seeing these pics I for one have been contemplating if this is the color that could break my mental block on the $4500 charge. It fits this design so well.

It really is a nice color. Even better in person. Thankfully in that case there are very few M cars around me so I'm not at too high risk there. It's not only low chance of finding another M car around here, but also finding one that knows that the individual programs even exists and was willing to spend the extra money on it. We'll see how rare it is when I go to sell it around LCI time.

The CF wheel trim and CF paddles can easily be swapped but can be a bit pricey versus having optioned for the CF trim overall. If you really will be selling it for the LCI in a few years I honestly wouldn't even worry about it.

Yea, I tried to add in the interior trim, but I was a day or two too late according to my CA. He said with an individual color order that once it's submitted nothing can be changed. I called the Genius to ask the same question, but the one I talked to was completely clueless on the matter and suggested I talk to my dealer. There's low likelihood that I'll do much of anything to to this car. After everything I did to my last one I told myself that I was going to keep this one fairly stock and be happy with it. Perhaps for some variety I'll do more with the LCI. We'll see what the options are then, but I'll probably at least get the other wheels. And, I feel like unless they really come out with some cool stock colors I'm going to be stuck trying to decide on another individual color.

Congrats, beautiful color!
@snareman, if you don't mind, can you tell me if your lane change assist is in your DA package? I am thinking about similar Individual color like Santorini or Voodoo, but the Individual Config site says:

"Please note that with U490 BMW Individual paint the function “Lane change assistant”, which is a part of option 5AU “Driving assistant professional” has to be deactivated. This happens by adding option 8TR "decoding additional function"."

Thanks.
