I've spent much less on much nicer looking wheels.
Do you know if you need to be a member for any period of time to get the discount?

Yup.

Just couldn’t bring myself to pay $600/wheel for the cast 829s.

No, they didn't even ask to see my card. It's up to the dealership to set how much they offer as a discount so YMMV. This discount matched getbmwparts.com which generally has the lowest prices.

BMW CCA membership pays for itself pretty quickly.

I may as well join. I know you need to be a member for at least 6 months to get any car purchase/lease incentives but maybe it’s not the case for other deals?

You need to be a member for a year if you purchase yearly memberships before being eligible for new/CPO purchase rebates. That decreases to 6 months if you buy the 3 year or longer memberships.

That restriction doesn't apply for anything else, such as deals from dealerships or other sponsors. Some require showing your membership card ahead of time, but some won't even bother to check.

I potentially found another option for winter wheels for these cars, although I've seen mixed reviews of this brand of wheel. They are narrow in the 22mm offset - 19x8.5 - which could be good for a narrow snow tire. Could these be a possibility for a relatively inexpensive, G80 winter wheel?

I think this has been asked before but can't find the answer…

The 829 oem winter setup is 9.5 rear and 9 front.

Would there be any issues (assuming yes, but I don't know much about this stuff) with getting all four 9.5 or all four 9s to run a square setup to allow for easier tire rotation? Thanks

I know it should be very possible to run a 19 inch square setup (at least with the steel brakes), which is my goal as well. I'm not sure about that particular wheel, or whether it's better to do all 9s or all 9.5s. If a goal is to keep the snow tires narrow, and to minimize winter junk damaging the paint on the side of your car, perhaps all 9s would keep everything more tucked in.

I ordered a square set of Apex 19s for my M2C, but sold the car. Very interested in a solution for my ordered G80, which with any luck, should be ready for delivery by new year's (just when the summer-only tires will be slick and useless around here). Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Apex is yet making G80 wheels.

Brake clearance and rubbing could be issues. I think it would depend on the wheel design and the offset in question. If you are asking specifically for the 829s, maybe someone has already tried it.

I got a set for 3798 from my dealer which includes free winter storage. Hoping those are superficial smudges and not scuffs at the bottom right?

Just smudges from mounting, I think. Happens all the time on my track wheels and tires with whatever they use as lubricant.

The wheel was protected with a cardboard cover that would have shown any scratches.

One key benefit for me from getting them from the dealer is they'll store the unused wheels/tires. I just need to remember that they have them. Last year I got a call from the manager at the Porsche dealer that I had 2 sets of wheels and tires in their warehouse and wanted to know what I wanted them to do with them. He sold them for me and we split the $.

That reminds me, you got that $3000 you owe me? In case you don't remember, I lent it to you a few months ago and I said I'd be cool not collecting for a while but time's due buddy.

But seriously, I share your pain. My dealer also stores unmounted tires/rims at no charge, and as a result of rapid turnover of vehicles, I think we had in storage something like 4 sets of tires on 3 sets of rims for vehicles no longer in our possession. The dealer was patient as I "cleared inventory": one set was donated to a deserving dealer employee, two other sets (both winter) were sold to pre-owned vehicle customers, and the final set was discarded.

Look nice. Are they 19' all around? Or what kind of set up? Where is that from? Price sounds good to me

Any idea in specs and offsets etc
